Thank you so much
Well, what can I say if not these two words that I used so many times here: thank you. I've not been able to read all your comments yet - nor to visit all these blogs that celebrated the anniversary with what is now worldwide(!) known as the "Tenin perspective", but I will this weekend. Tonight I took a photo of this billboard- which is currently used for our coming elections - and took the liberty of removing the original posters to replace them with this simple word: merci! Lots of love from Paris dear visitors...

And sending the love back to you from New Hampshire, Eric. Vive le Tenin Perspective!!
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to you and PDP. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe gray buildings, street, billboard and even car, with the subtle touches of maroon, really make the aquamarine color pop. Nice catch.
Love the "previously, on PDP": my favorite reality show.
I find the billboards advertizing the candidates so very interesting, especially since they are for specified areas. How civilized!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd your merci sign is very fishy!!!
ReplyDeleteRight back at ya, friend!
ReplyDeleteYou know you're doing something right when you get well over 150 unique comments telling you how much we appreciate you! And you probably have this many more on FB ;)
lol nice use of Photoshop, was it Photoshop? How did you do it so neatly?
ReplyDeleteI congratulate you (I was not on yesterday) and think you've done a masterful job at capturing daily Parisian life and presenting interesting perspective and history. Merci for all you efforts and your dedication. Love this new look too. ~Coltrane_lives
ReplyDeleteNo—thank YOU, Eric! After all, look what you started. And we're all grateful you did!

Your new look is great Eric - especially now that we have the date for each photo back again. I particularly like the new navigating bar at the top, and I'm with Cali - love the 'Previously on PDP show'. Winsome.
ReplyDeleteNon...merci a toi...now please keep it up!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteOui, merci ... merci pour tous ces bouts de Paris mis bout à bout tous les jours, ces bouts de nous tous.
ReplyDeleteHappy and long new life to PDP - V2!!!
Superb! Even the day of the post is showing up now!! New dress too for the comment box. Quite a new look too!
BTW, great photo of you yesterday on MelbourneDailyPhoto! You ran fast between here and there :)
New dress for the comment box but does not want me anymore ;) Could not enter my name... Flore

The pleasure is all ours, Eric. It was such fun to study your images, think about your technique, then pay you the tribute you so richly deserve. It was also such a joy to see that technique interpreted in so many different locales by so many different photographers.
ReplyDeleteI'm a day late but hopefully you'll forgive me - congratulations Eric on an incredible achievement; five years is indeed a huge commitment which you've accomplished with flair that has kept us fascinated and returning for the next dose of the Tenin perspective on the beautiful city of Paris and establishing a network of fans and friends from all corners of the globe. We're proud of you and we love you but most of all we thank you my dear friend. So, merci a toi, Eric.
ReplyDeleteThis definitely made me smile. Fun and sweet. We all love you! :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm in the same boat with Flore - not sure how to get the comment box to work correctly! So, here goes....let's see what happens.
ReplyDeleteAm I reading the sign right - do you get a week to vote in Paris?
Carrie
You're very welcome. I think that everyone had a good time. How did you conceive of the original idea for a photo-a-day from various cities throughout the world, may I ask?
ReplyDeleteNow I know whom to thank, for this unique community of photo bloggers. I joined the club recently - http://mymysore.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeleteDe rien, dear Eric.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Before I looked more closely and read some of the comments I was about to make a comment on how on-line culture is invading our daily life, even in the street.
ReplyDeleteNow I see what you did - cool you, you rascally scallywag Eric, you!
