Paris Plage 2010

Here is my first Paris Plage photo of the season! And I did not take it along the Seine, as I usually do, but along the Quai de Seine (which despite its name is not located along the Seine, but along  the Bassin de la Villette, in the 10th). Same principal though: sand, beach games, sprinkles, bars, pétanque... (have a look at what they have to offer on the site, it's also in English). It looks like a real beach, even though it's not a real beach. But it's still nice, especially when the weather is perfect, like it was today.

  4. Wow, beautiful, colorful, invitating and relaxing post!
This could have perfectly worked for the last theme month : bright colors, indeed!
Meeting there some friends like you would be simply great : just talking, having fun until sunset...
Even the green and yellow plastic garbage that are almost invisible in the photo make the shot bright!

    Cheers Keats!

  5. I look at this and see ...

    GREAT NAIL POLISH COLORS!

A fantastic line of summer shades for finger and toe nails.

Maybe it's because I've had nail polish on my brain.

So I love this photo for the colors. Very vibrant and summery!

  6. Fabulous shot, Eric! The whole idea of Paris Plage is sheer genius to begin with—and then it's done with such flair. No wonder we all love Paris!

  7. Interesting shot, but I especially liked the link to a former post below about how the Metro tickets had changed!! I had forgotten all about that and enjoyed reading an older post!! See the benefits of a new and improved PDP!!! LOL!!!

  8. Happy Paris Plage! I'm sure it's welcomed by many surviving the heat. So, Eric, I'm away from PDP for a few weeks or so and what happens? A bus takes a swim in the Seine and the graffiti artists are busy gluing their molded countenances on buildings and Piccasoing up the rues. Hey, I'm just catching up with the previous photos, but I know I can count on you to deliver the latest in Paree. Outstanding as always, Eric! Hope you're having a splendid summer.

  10. Brilliant shot, Eric. Perfect for a summer wallpaper! Thanks!

Did you hear that after the bus last week, a barge full of gravels sank in the Seine yesterday?
Navigation was closed between Pont de l'Alma and Pont d'Iéna... Tant pis pour les Bateaux-Mouches ;-)

  13. Eric, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that photo! It is so summery, colourful, cool, and as others said before, I want one in every colour of the rainbow!!! Today it is 'couvert' again, but I can take the blame; I put my washing out and it might well 'piss' on it later on.... So, there - but soon (maybe weekend) we shall visit les plages too.... yupeeh!
Thank you for this glorious summer greeting!
    Gros bisous, Kiki
