It's not easy to capture a skate boarder in the air! I guess I was lucky (of course having a continuous mode on your camera helps too LOL). I took this photo at Bastille, where skaters gather during weekends. I wish I could do that!
And, the perfect triangle - formed by his arm, parallel to the fence, the shadow line, and his body - keep your eye coming back round and round to your subject. Beautiful!
This is awesome! I love the black and white; it really makes the subject matter stand out! And my first thought is "ow" because I know I would fall if that were ever attempted. LOL
Don't worry Eric. I bet they can't take photos like yours. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture!
ReplyDeletethe upset horizontal adds another dynamic to this extraordinary picture!
ReplyDelete"I wish I could do that!" Yes, those were the days. I use to skate board when I was young and built of steel. I would never in my life attempt in now.
ReplyDeleteGreat B&W shot Eric. You captured the moment of ahhhhhhh.
Great photo. The B&W adds to the action.

Another great one, Eric. It looks like he's riding the shadow line.

ReplyDelete"I wish I could do that": taking such a picture, for sure, I wish I could ;-)
Great composition. I'd rather be able to do what you do with your camera than what he does with his skateboard!
ReplyDeleteyou should have spared this picture to theme day ;)
