Fantastic shot, Eric. How did you do that (motion and stillness combo)? Sales are going strong here too, and I hit a definite bargain this weekend, when I bought a genuine lambskin jacket, originally priced at $299.00, for a paltry $53!
Wodnerful shot Eric! I keep going through my Paris vacation pics and want to go back. Your site keeps my interest on Paris. I only wish I was there for the sales.
This is a fantastic, and you definitely should be proud of it! You've really captured the bustle of sale shopping and the stillness of the bike, usually the object buzzing in and around the city, is very impressive.
And it's making me look forward to being in Paris even more this summer - I'll have to bring it forward a few days to be there for the summer sales ;-)
very cool photo
ReplyDeleteI love the way the bike is the only thing not rushing somewhere
ReplyDeleteFeb 21??? So I still have time to book my airfare???
ReplyDeleteGreat photo ... love 'chouchou's observation about the bike being the only thing not on the move!
Goodmorning Eric, nice shot.
ReplyDeleteHere in Rome sales started at 14 and are still on till 15 of february
I agree with chouchou...However, I can tell that's a BHV bag running by. Does this mean you were in that neighborhood Eric?
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Eric!
ReplyDeleteCool photo! It captures a kind of energy. Wish I could go shopping in Paris...
ReplyDeleteYeah, shopping in Paris can be fun, but I'm still glad to be back in my (relatively) small town! ;)
ReplyDeleteNice meeting you, Eric!
Wait, that came out wrong. I love Paris, it was great being there, but I'm just not cut out for living (or shopping) in such a big city!
ReplyDelete> Nice meeting you in Paris too Nebel (Well, Sebastian). Welcome back to "Trèves" (Trier), we all wait for your pictures.
ReplyDeleteBTW, there is a new comer as of today: Barcelona.

ReplyDeleteThank you Elisabeth, I must say I like this photo very much too (a little pretentious maybe!!)
ReplyDeleteIn fact I did not do anything special except sit on the sidewalk (yeah??) and wait in front of the bike - originally I only wanted to take the bike.
Then some people happened to walk by and I only noticed it back home, when I "printed" the photos.
Congrats on your jacket by the way - but such a discount make me feel like I am really being ripped off when I pay the regular price!
wow, what beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteEric, so you are saying this great photo is an "accident" ? I think there are no accidents, it was your subconcious at work ...
ReplyDeleteThat's "subconscious" - sorry
ReplyDeleteWodnerful shot Eric! I keep going through my Paris vacation pics and want to go back. Your site keeps my interest on Paris. I only wish I was there for the sales.
ReplyDeleteEric, may I send you my shopping list?
ReplyDeleteLove the picture - so often bikes do not sit still.
Nice blog! Greetings from US.
ReplyDeleteOh my godddd! I'd like to have some feel good time there, really! Shop in Paris all day long should be great!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Eric. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteEric, does it mean you were patiently waiting outside (BHV?) for someone? Maybe who is more fond of shopping than are? ;)
ReplyDeletefredb: one can only wish!
ReplyDeleteIt captures the shopping spirit, that's for sure.
