Les Parisiennes (part II)!

You make all kinds of encounters in the Latin Quarter... Look what I found just after leaving the Café de Flore Saturday! They were heading to a birthday party they said (probably a caveman!). I did not think of inviting these charming ladies to the picnic on Wednesday, but if they read this... BTW, talking about charming ladies, I finally posted the photos of the little get together I had in Sydney.

  1. Hey, these girls are not bit-mapped. Did ypu get their permission to show their beautiful faces?

  2. Oops actually Eric, you didn't ask for their permission! Let's hope they won't find the blog. LOL
These girls were really funny, and kind: they stopped just for our famous photographer.

I would have loved attending this party, I'm sure it was great. Imagine a party where you can eat with fingers, be really dirty, not girly at all! ^^

  3. Sounds like a football match Guille... The shot came out great Eric...and why didn't you invite them?

  4. Well, we can do that at the picnic! Eat with our fingers, be really dirty.....

I just love the sense of fun oozing out of this picture.

  5. HINT Time:

Paris steels this person's heart everytime ( a direct quote from the person).

ONE person is the mystery guest blogger, not 2.

  6. Eating with your fingers? Being really dirty and not girly? Ladies, ladies! What's got into you?!

he he these girls look like they were having a fun time. So this is what les Parisiennes get up to huh. Permission not required, I feel, since they were so up for posing!
Adore those Roman sandals. Now those, I could walk in. All girls have sensible shoes on. Great little brown boots too - I covet those.
So - are they savage cavewomen? The girls the Flintstones ran into on a night away from the wives? LOL I hope you told them the URL and they come in to comment.

OOOOHHHHH! It's Parisian Heart!!! Did I win? Did I, Phx, did I? :D

  7. Eric, I'm sure you could have 'draggged' them along to the picnic.

Lynn, you're a hard taskmistress, some of us go out at the weekend!
Next chapter ready (final?- its up to you!)

  8. Lynn, I'm sure you get it!!! It's Parisian Heart! Or the quotation gave us a wrong hint...

    ReplyDelete
  9. On my way to NYC so I can't comment 'till tomorrow.......if I get permission for another hint, tho, I will post it.

The "guessing" is fun to read!!!

  10. I think if you were to show that photo to people without disclosing its source, Paris would be about the last place people would think the photo was taken. The Paris fashion houses must be wondering what the world is coming to.

  11. It's OK, Alexa and Guille - no-one will recognise them when they don't have cavewoman clobber and hair!

    Is it ... ET Suzy???!!! "Steel" is a hidden clue rather than Phx spelling incorrectly? {Sorry, Phx!!!} A play on words for the iron lady? {Doesn't fit with Michael's hint that it's a man, but Michael could be pulling our legs...}

  12. These women have been raiding my closet.

  13. For cavewomen, these gals sure have nice handbags! I agree with Guille - I bet the party they went to was a total hoot. Eric you sure were able to get them to display some serious smiles. Isn't that so NOT a Parisian thing to do?

    ReplyDelete
  14. BTW, love the cavewomen, Eric! I guess the weather was good that night?

  15. I've learned something new about you today, Petrea.

  16. I also meant to say, great shots from the Australian group!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh my!!

for a moment I thought this picture was a portrait of the people who went to the pre picnic at Le Flore!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. What great sports. Jeff is going to kill you for not inviting them! :D

  19. It's a good thing you all have been exercizing your minds these past few days trying to guess who the mistery guest is.....

..... wait to see the new quiz PHX has prepared for the picnic.
Yeap, she wants you guys to keep on guessing! With PHX the fun never ends!!

  20. I'm still looking for Ringo Starr amidst these fair cavemaidens! *_* As for the unknown "manly" PDP guest, I can now say I was wrong about my guess. Cali was my guess but won't be in Paris until later. Hmm...bet a nickel on Mr Minnesota Jeff! As they say in Mineeeesootah, "You betcha!" Do wish it were I, but alas, I'm still cultivating my garden. Speaking of gardens, perhaps it is a "garden gnome" that will be tossed into the Seine...no, that could be some bad mojo. Hmm...maybe these modern gnomes float. ;-)

  21. Hey Monica...dig the new photo. I see Spring has arrived down under. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Cali...and here I thought I was keeping your secret. arghh!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. a-HA! Very clever, ET Suzy ~ if you had not said anything, it would have appeared more suspicious. So by responding thus, verily you do endeavour to throw us off the scent ... thus. But it has not worked! I believe even more so verily that it is YOU!

from cali, we know from his errant clue that Coltrane thinks you ROCK and have a fantastic sense of humour ... all of which is true, even if the mystery guest is not you.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Shell -- amen! But if, as Michael claims, it is a man, then it can't be Suzy. Given PHX's clue, Parisian Heart seems like a good guess, but (again) if Michael is correct about the gender of the mystery guest . . .
Gotta say that "this person has a good sense of humor" is not such a clue here at PDP—because, who doesn't? (including the person who gave that clue!)

  25. Bones in their hair. Bones around their necks. Hey, they’re cavewomen. Give ’em time. They’ll get it right.

  26. Looks like it's going to be a very fun birthday party!

  27. Phx knows how to tease doesn't she! Can't comment indeed lol....

Ok Drummond I do get over enthusiastic I admit it. I'll go and take a look.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Right Drummond I have completed the Drummond/Lynn literary effort, unless you want to add...? :)

It's at the comments box of 8 May for anyone who is interested (Thib) lol.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lynn, Oh well there's always next year's picnic, we hope!

Expertly finished off but what happened to Madge? (think my plot needed a bit of refining).
Love the image of Carla wandering about Montmartre in a canary outfit - now that would be a photo! Hang on, I feel a story line coming on - resist!resist!

PS - I like your enthusiasm.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Thank you Lynn & Drummond! What a beautiful duo you are making! I like this part 'She knew Eric from way back, before his 'Mr. Nice Guy' days, she knew what he was capable of'. Yeah man!!!!!

Back to today's post : great really great idea ; these panther girls are gorgeous. Ahh I wish I could be that feline...

Ok I have an idea : let's wear our feline outfits and ask the master of this place to show us how naughty he can be ;)

NB Drummond : "Lynn, you're a hard taskmistress, some of us go out at the weekend" : that's also true and some of us are still out at this time! Ahh long long week-end's so good!

  31. Alas, Anon I had pretty much a weekend on the computer. Stuff to do - with little breaks of course to write the Eric/picnic/Sarkozy/Carla/Marie de Paris story. That's a point, Drummond - we have no title! Hmmm....

Anon I too loved that bit about Eric - he he! He'll HAVE to go and read it all now, in order to defend himself!

Drummond Madge does have some positive points (!) of course but on this occasion she was superfluous to requirements.

lol Drummond oh good I felt sure my effervescence was overbearing. I do tend to jump around in excited mode (in my head, not physically you understand; I still know my etiquette).
p.s. no, don't resist! .... dun dun dur.

  32. Lynn, Drummond, thanks for this novel ;-)
I've just printed it, in order to be more comfortable to read it this evening, with good music and a nice single malt....

Eric, I love your photo! Are you really sure these beautiful caveladies (!) won't show up on Wednesday?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow impressive!
    Well deserved!

Hmm I already knew it beyond a shadow of a doubt! Of course and much more...

  34. I love these gals, they're so game! Still looking pretty and sexy with all the messy wild hair and grime on their legs. My kind of cavewomen. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Excellent !!!!
My professeur de desir ;) that's the title of a Philip Roth novel. Not sure about the author but nice title!! Wonder what's behind! Maybe these cavewomen read it ! Young people are growing fast now! :)

  36. Coltrane: I wouldn't have been able to keep a secret like that from you if I had been the MG! Thanks for the kind words. Love the shout out to Ringo!
Shell: you and Coltrane both ROCK!

I can't answer if Jeff is cute, perhaps someone else can?

So tell us, Cave Lady, what will you be wearing at the picnic?

Si vous allez a la pique-nique, qu'est-ce que vous allez porter cette fois? :)

  42. When I was in Paris mid April we ate at the Cafe de Flore and I have to admit I was always looking for Eric so I could tell him in person how much I appreciate his site...even though I cannot live in Paris I can always stay connected through his site.

  43. Lynn, Drummond, I read your novel (and finished my malt...) It's fun! And I'm waiting to see if it happens on wednesday!!

Cave Lady 1, I can't tell you if Jeff is cute - you should ask Guille ;-) - but I confirm he is a nice guy, and a good friend :-)
