Red!
No April fool's day prank for today, but a good old Theme day post, like every fist of the month. Today's theme is Red, as you may already have seen on other participating City Daily Photo blogs. I did not really know what to chose, so I looked in my previous photos. I found this one that I took from the Eiffel tower, the day I got stuck in the elevator. I remember taking it because I thought "the lady in red" would make a nice spot in the photo. There you go...

Love the pop of color when Spring is right around the corner! Reminds me of my pictures I take of the cardinals in the trees!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Happy Easter everyone!
Mammie
A lady in red on a bench - what more could one ask for?
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. Hope everyone makes it through the day without too many poissons d'avril.
ReplyDeleteNICE!!! And I'll even give a mini *et!et!!et!!!* for the vantage point.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you might have been stalking her while wearing a disguise.
ReplyDelete“Allô, gendarmerie? At first I was flattered thinking it might be Eric trying to include my photo in his fabulous PDP. But it cannot be, no? Where is the famous Tenin perspective? And Eric does not have a full-body beard, yes?”
Then I read the caption. You spotted this from the Eiffel Tower? What an eye. What does your telephoto lens look like?
There you go indeed!!! WELL HAVE MERCY, ERIC !!! That's just parfait mon ami.

BTW,
ReplyDeleteLast January, we were waiting on the bus by the ET, and a young woman ran across the street clad in a RED coat. I took many photos. ALL BLURRY! Grrrr

I thought this was a cool photo until I read where you were when you took it—now I think it's a REALLY cool photo!
ReplyDeleteJust love this photo -- colors, composition, everything. ==Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThe lady in red! In your post on the tower elevators you made a comment a few days ago which gave me to believe that you work on the Eiffel tower. Did I understand that correctly?
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at the DCPB theme day for April I don't see your post. I don't see mine either, just one from Sydney. What's up with that?
A good theme day post.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
And you were spot on, Eric! I also like the jade colour with the red. Lovely companions.
ReplyDelete"Every 'fist' of the month?"
ReplyDeleteHey, that's me in my Tomato suit!!! How did you know, Eric?! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, BTW. Like it very m uch.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Eric.
ReplyDeleteI'm the lady in the photo.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I completely misunderstood when I noticed you taking photographs of me. I'm afraid I was phoning the police when you took this shot. I had to visit the police station to make out a complaint and I've given them your description and now they are looking for you.
My name is April by the way. I was my mother's first born, that's why I'm known as April the First.
I see she is using her cell phone. I suppose the guy is late. She wants to know where he is?
ReplyDeleteI chose a picture I took 55 years ago of my Patty wearing a red dress. On April Fool's Day, April 1, 1955.
I gave her a diamond engagement ring, and today, April 1, 2010 is my entry for theme day on my Brookville Daily Photo blog.
Beautiful image indeed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful image.
ReplyDelete...thanks to the elevator stop ...
ReplyDeleteI love this - wish it was me!!
ReplyDeleteI hope all of you that celebrate have a delightful Easter! xo Anne
Wonderful! I love the composition, the color, and the vantage point! Alas, no Tenin perspective, but maybe just an "Eric" perspective? Really nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd she does. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat image Eric. There's something about red in Paris that attracts attention.
ReplyDeleteIf it's red day I already contributed over at:

And you were so right! Love the little bit of color.
ReplyDeleteThis photo makes me want to be "the lady in red" in someones photo! Lovely photo :)
ReplyDeleteNice colors. It looks warm and so...spring :D Unfortunately I can still "enjoy" slippery roads and some snow in my homeland. I wish it was me there near La Tour Eiffel :(
ReplyDeletebravo l'oiseau

ReplyDeleteHappy theme day, Eric! Propitious moment for being stuck in an elevator -:)
ReplyDeleteHi Eric,
ReplyDeleteI have been so fortunate to come to your beautiful city several times since 2006. We will be coming again later this month and I might very well sit on this bench. I have to let you know how much I appreciate your pics. They serve to put me in my Parisian state of mind. I so LOVE my trips to Paris and I thought I should let you know that you are part of them.... I thank you for the beautiful daydreams!
Is that tomate??? Glad to see her phone is working...LOL!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's so perfect, so Parisienne.
ReplyDeleteJoli choix, mystérieux. La dame de la photo apporte de la lumière au paysage d'hiver.
ReplyDeleteBonne Pâques à tous!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed the lady in red!
ReplyDelete@Tulsa Gentleman No I don't work at the Eiffel Tower ;-) I just went there for a work gathering...
If I ever get to Paris when it is actually warm (I always seem to visit when it is cold) I will have to make sure I budget in a bite here! Love that wall!
ReplyDeleteFor a woman, the best gift is designer Chanel handbags as this is their favorite and most useful accessory among other designer accessories. Chanel Wallets have always been an essential part of every woman's wardrobe. Designer chanel earrings is an absolute necessity just like other accessories like shoes, belts, perfumes, wrist watches or jewelry.
