Congratulations Spain!

You have to admit I did not bother you too much with the soccer World Cup this year. I really did not felt like taking part in this big worldwide communion after the poor results and behavior of the French team, ! Last night though, like billions of viewers, I watched the Final and was pretty happy that Spain won (my Latin side probably!). FYI, this is the exact moment Andrés Iniesta (the new Spanish hero, in dark blue in the photo) scored - Yes I stole it from the television! FYI, there are a lot of people of Spanish origins in France (some fled the civil war, others poverty, Franco...). Today, I'm sure they're happy, even if, technically, they are now French!

  1. ¡ESPAÑA! ¡ESPAÑA! Thanks for the compliments. I think it won the beautiful game. What great players. It has happened as France: first champions of the Eurocup, and then, champions of the world cup.

  2. I have been following Spain since the World Cup started. I am amazed at the skill of their players and how brilliant they are to watch. I congratulate a wonderful team. Spain deserve to be the winners of the World Cup.

  3. Congratulations to Spain!

I admit I haven't paid an iota of attention, but I know how meaningful sports can be to people, and I'm happy to see our Spanish friends so happy.

  4. Yes, congrats to Spain! Now that it's all over, I'll miss seeing some really good "futbol," but I sure won't miss those vuvuzelas!

  7. I have to admit, I only watched 1 or 2 matches this year (and not even the whole game), but this was a good one with overtime and penalties and tension.

But it just can't compare to this -

The World Cup is over and Brazil lost, but the good news is:
THE NEXT WORLD CUP WILL BE HELD IN RIO!!!!!

  9. It has been such a wonderful World Cup and the whole of South Africa is still fizzing and popping with energy. I think I will start saving up for Brazil. Well done Spain - but I was sorry for all the Dutch fans who have been so visible and voluble here in Cape Town.

  11. Great game but sorry Holland didn't win; my son has supported them since he was tiny and running around in a too-big orange shirt!

  15. Each one of the released 255 is one great artwork that is witness to Chanel handbags commitment to quality and craftsmanship as proven with all the Chanel Coco . It was no big surprise as the Chanel Watch reissue made whopping and record breaking sales for years.
