You must think I have a door fetish(!) for I posted several ones on this blog already, but what can I say... Paris has a lot of beautiful doors and I can't help noticing them! This one belongs to the Hôtel de Ville (the Paris town hall) and I was lucky enough to photograph it while there was a cool reflection on it (I doubt it was the sun though for it's been a long time since we've seen it here! Anyway, have a great Sunday everyone (it's the museum feast in many countries this weekend, so how about a little visit to your favorite museum?)

Stunning color, look luxury! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA glorious door! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW. You can indulge your door fetish any time as far as I'm concerned, Eric. Hope you're having a beautiful weekend.
ReplyDeletelovely door in a beautiful photograph with the shades of blue. Eric, you get a gold star for this one! Anne
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDoors. A beautiful entrance is worth seeing. Think about the concept of "a beautiful entrance". Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly walking into a room in a classic black dress. The Notre Dame doors surrounded by saints. Her smile when she sees you even though she's twenty minutes late to the restaurant. (You know who she is.) 29 Avenue Rapp. (Yes, Drummond, you're right.) A bride with the train of her dress held by attendants. We enter something and somebody enters every day. What else matters but beautiful entrances, beginnings? Define your own and love them.
ReplyDeleteI love the dual use these doors offer. Beauty and entrance. In a symbolic manner ! Cool reflection. I love that. Beautiful timing between the light and the picture. Beautiful photographer ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing picture and reflection on the golden door! Once again Paris is so picturesque.
ReplyDeleteWell that's pretty lame as fetishes go. But hey, it works for me. This is indeed a glorious door. Keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeleteNo matter it's station in the world, all doors have their external beauty. When photographed they always make us wonder what is on the other side.
ReplyDeleteGod I love doors!
This is spectacular in every way.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I agree about the doors—bring 'em on!
ReplyDeleteI notice the light on right side of the entrance is gone. I assume it is being repaired? Beautiful entrance, the rhythm of the surfaces is well done.
