New year Parade

I had never heard of this Falun Dafa movement before I took this photo. Funnily, 2 days ago I came across them again, marching in the streets of Paris - probably to celebrate the new year. Let me take advantage of this festive occasion to thank you all for your very nice wishes and compliments that you made lately. Like I said many times here: you are my fuel; without you, I would have quit PDP a long time ago ;)

  1. I've stolen quick moments to read others' comments but I haven't said much lately. Nor have I written that I really do want you to know that I love PDP and appreciate the insane amount of work you put into it. I've made it through the holidays and am arising again, like a Phoenix. (Not to be confused with PHX-CDG!) Strike up the band (thank you Falun Dafa). Stay warm and keep on truckin', mon ami.

  3. I looked at the 27 comments on smoking from yesterday - and then scrolled backwards. Over the past several months, only Notre Dame, Time Magazine the Smart Car and George Clooney got more comments.

That must tell us something about ourselves, but I'll be darned if I know what it is!

  4. Jeff, I was wondering if you survived the holidays or not!

Isn't it interesting that the drums seem to be at the front of the band and not the back? Unless it was just a parade of drums. Normally, I would have expected the percussion to bring up the rear with the horns, trombones in the front. In fact, if you want to be precise, I would have expected seventy-six trombones leading the big parade...

  5. On a more serious note, I found these links about Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa France that explains a bit more.

  6. Amazing colors, the bright blues, silver drums and yellow scarf, white buildings in the backdrop, 'splishes of red, looks like a Pantone ad and another fabulous photo. You are inspiring! Thanks for the link Michael, I saw a group in Boston Commons this summer, but was a chaotic scene.

  7. That's a neat shot Eric. That woman in front looks as though she is mentally daring you to stay there and let her run you over... maybe she wants to play Chicken?

  12. Happy new year, Eric! I don't think I've left a comment before, but I know how I appreciate it when people do so on my blog, so here it is. I've been a subscriber to PDP for a couple of months, via Bloglines. I love getting my daily hit of Paris, in between visits to your fascinating city. Bonne continuation!

Jeff is pretty funny, Lynn is incorrigible, Michael is always inspired and Tomate is smart and funny too... I miss PHX-CDG comments but she's always sweet, and so are all the others.

    Yeah Eric...you just can't quit...look what a bunch you've got around you!
