Antoine & Lili in Le Marais

Weird encounter with a mannequin today! I found "her" at rue des Francs Bourgeois, in the Marais, just outside a pretty "in" women clothes brand store called "Antoine & Lili". I checked everywhere and I was totally unable to find out who hides behind this brand (they have 15 outlets in France and 6 in Paris, including a large one by the Quai de Valmy in the 10the arrondissement). All the stores are painted with a super bright color. Clever. And, by the way, they also have a  stunning website.

  1. Delightful Spring color. Whimsical. I love the website. Very entertaining and feminine. I note that the collections are given mostly arabic names. Perhaps this is a clue to the ownership.

  4. Great photo! A few summers ago I remember seeing the same shade of pink bicycles all over Paris...I wonder if it was advertising for this shop.

  8. @Rahul. Fantastic!
That's what I love about this PDP (and City Daily Photo in general) adventure. It's that it got me in touch with a lot of people from all over the world, and sometimes the most unexpected way.

How on earth could I have been in touch with one of the providers (I suppose they have several ones) of Antoine & Lili?!

(BTW Pretty soon, from a more personal project I'm going to be looking for a provider in the framing business, so if you happen to know someone around you...)

  11. You loce mannequins, don't you! How many since you started the blog? At least once a month..!

That's funny because you already showed their shop few months ago, the one by the canal. It's definitely eye-catching.

Rahul, that's cool! so now, let us know, who are Antoine and Lili?!

  13. Here's the secret information: Antoine and Lili are, truly, mannequins! They were used in a special display at an industrial program at a nuclear reactor site. After a few days, they came alive! They have been creating amazing products ever since. After all, who has more experience wearing clothes than a mannequin?

  14. What I want to know is what is more interesting then a magenta colored headless manequin that would draw the attention of all those people in the background of the shot?
