Art can find its way everywhere, can't it? Like in chocolate for example... Hence the stunning sculptures that Patrick Roger, one of the finest chocolatiers (chocolate maker) in Paris can do. One of his stores is located at Place de la Madeleine, and that is where I took this photo. This chimp is entirely made of chocolate as you can imagine, and he was not the only one in the store. Huge success! Now I need to taste what I bought there!

This is some serious monkey business.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has gnawed upon his shoulders ...
ReplyDeleteAmazing - well done for sniffing it out - you didn't take a sneaky bite, I hope! Just goes to show you should have your camera with you everywhere... you just never know!
ReplyDeleteMr PhX started my special" Mrs. pHX" day at Patrick Roger at the Madeline. After I picked out chocolates we then walked to the Pinacoteque and saw the shows there...I have never seen so many Van Gogh's in my life. Then walked to the Costes brothers hotel on rue St Honore for lunch. He then planned a ride on the Roué, the big Ferris wheel and I didn't want to do it out of fear. I went, and loved it. Then saw the Soutine exhibit at the Orangerie. We ended by walking to the Four Seasons George V for a drink . Sigh. He can be hired out to all husbands who want any info. It will help pay for the day.PS he doesn't read PDP so just in case you were wondering , he has never ever done this before in our marriage.
ReplyDeletePHX, it sounds like the perfect Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWOW, what a work of art! Peoples creative abilities never cease to amaze me! :)
ReplyDeleteDelicious!
ReplyDeleteYummmm. I love chocolate .... Phx sounds like a perfect day...let me know the hire out rates!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Eric! (I'd probably eat the ears first.) And p.s., as for yesterday's Nativity scene, I would never judge—I once posed for a Nativity-scene sculpture totally nude! PHX, I've just added your husband to my (very short) "worthy of cloning" list! Sounds like living in Paris has turned him into a true romantic.
ReplyDelete@Alexa "I once posed for a Nativity-scene sculpture totally nude!" ????????? What?! I want photos!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, too much chocolate for the day after Christmas. (Cute little monkey though.)
ReplyDelete@Phx, Oh, that IS romantic!! How lovely.
