Fromage, baguette and other French delices...

I don't know if you're like me, but when I visit a foreign country, even if I love the food they make  - and God knows that Thai food is really good - I begin to miss the food I'm used to! What I miss the most? French bread and more precisely crispy baguette which you can only find in France. Cheese also, is something I miss pretty quickly when I travel. That's why today, I stuffed myself with all this in a restaurant near my house ;-)

  1. Now that you're upright, welcome home. To tell the truth, I have never missed American food when I'm in France. But maybe I just haven't stayed long enough. I must correct that one of these days.

    1. Or maybe, because there are enough Mc Donald's, Subway, Burger King... in Paris ;-)

  2. I have to agree with Sasho. I was there 3 years and didn't miss "American" food one bit. Although I'm Mexican American and I did miss arroz, frigoles y tortillas. Basically my Mom's cooking.

  3. I suppose for me, missing food I'm familiar with might depend on the kind of cuisine in the place I was going to.

    1. I don't understand why it seems so hard to make a crispy baguette outside of France I must say.
