Happy 4th of July!

You all know the joke right? "Is there a 4th of July in France?" Well yes, there is, and it's today! Only we don't celebrate it like Americans do... On this blog though, since a lot of my visitors are from the US, I usually try to take a photo that has some kind of connections with North America! I happen to have had dinner at HD Diner yesterday evening, and everything there looks American (except the prices: a small Bud costs... 4,90 €!), so I thought this could be  my 4th of July tribute!

  2. And it is our turn to thank the French, specifically, Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette (known to Americans as Lafayette), for aiding us in the Revolutionary War.

  6. Eric,
Greetings from across the Big Pond.
Thank you for thinking of us and what a funny tribute to Les Etats Unis! Sorry for the football loss; France has so many fans here in USA. Enjoy your fine Blog almost daily.

  7. Happy 4th to you too, Eric! Your photo is a hoot (and reminds me that this is the day I allow myself to eat a nasty but delicious hot dog). Actually, it's pouring down rain here -- not exactly bbq weather -- but should stop in time for tonight's fireworks.

    1. Really? Like a storm? It's generally super hot and sunny in NYC in this season.
