An evening at Le Pranzo

Last evening (Saturday) I went to Le Pranzo, a small theater where you can see young stand up comedians that are not yet well known. I went to see Alexandre Barbe, a young man who is undoubtedly very talented and truly funny (well to my taste). I had a wonderful evening. Check for yourself (if you understand French).

  1. A long, long time ago, in a land far, far away, I too had the chance to go to a comedy club where young unknowns performed. It was very inexpensive. I totally enjoyed seeing a young unknown guy who was very funny and who had a totally clean act. His name was.... Jay Leno! Who knows, maybe Alexander Barbe will be a household name in years to come!! Either way, glad you had a good time.

  2. Far too rarely do I actually make it 'into' places. I'm too busy walking around them, and for that reason I miss a lot.

    Nice to see the other side of Paris Eric. The inside side ;~S

  3. :) Glad you had a good time! I do love to laugh, but have a hard time with those who equate wit and crudity as the same thing. I saw a comedian last fall, Daren Streblow, who was extremely funny. I know he has some videos on YouTube.

    Have a great Sunday, everyone!

  6. @Carrie. It is hard to think that Jay Leno was once an unknown! I would bet a lot of money (OK, no, some money...) that this guy will be famous one day. I'am actually glad to have seen him now.

    @sab. You should try this place (Le Pranzo) it's actually fun (of it depends on the performers, but all it costs is a cocktail, so you don't risk too much)

    @Christie. I watched a few of his videos and yes he's funny, you're right.

    @Jeff. LOOOOOOOOOL

    @PHX. Oh you're back in London, they must have raised the flag in Buckingham then ;-)
