I was in a pretty bad mood yesterday evening, so I took off and went for a ride in Paris! Of course I took my camera with me. When I crossed the Pont de la Concorde, I saw this guy, obviously waiting for a better sunset on the Seine. I simply saw a good occasion to take an interesting photo. Good timing...
understood, not in the best mood myself, photo is good as always
ReplyDeleteThat view would cheer anyone up.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo. The colors, the Eiffel tower in the background.... gorgeous. I would also like it if I were there waiting for the sunset on the Seine. Sigh.... :)
ReplyDeleteWow, This is a great evening scene. The tower and a fellow photographer.
ReplyDeletewow! What a great photo! I really love it. Thanks Eric.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Another great one from the great one. And, I love the blue of his headset.
ReplyDeletePhantastic photo! It´s always good to see my friend ET, and the atmosphere in this photo is very special. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great shot Eric. It says so much about those of us that visit Paris and just can't take enough photographs to feed our soul.

Sorry you were in a bad mood - a ride around Paris would put me in a great mood. You took a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the shot this guy got wasn't any better than yours! Don't know if you've cheered up (hope so), but you put me in a good mood. :~}
ReplyDelete*Suzy throws confetti and shouts*

I'm sorry you were in a bad mood, Eric. But it got you out of the apartment and found you this magnificent photo. I can't stop looking at it. I think it's fantastic and full of heart.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me? I can't stop looking at it. Calendar!
ReplyDeleteHopefully in June there will be as beautiful sunset as this in Paris! I love your blog and photos and visit here everyday.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Sublime light. Perfect composition - in other words, Eric, Paris Daily Photo! Amazing how photography can calm us down - I agree.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. Really nice shot, Eric. Feel better :)
ReplyDeletetomate farcie
Aw Eric I hope this day makes you feel a bit better. I find that a walk or a ride sometimes clears the head and if it does not resolve the problem at least it gives you some time away from it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot.
Love
I love this photo. I hope your day got better.
ReplyDeleteThis is glorious, Eric. I hope you felt a bit chirpier afterwards. Your photo has planted a big smile on me.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Eric! Really nice photo!
ReplyDeleteLove how the shape of the tripod is echoed by the tower. Or, maybe it's vice versa.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hope you are now in a GREAT mood! : )
Stunning, Eric! You have quite an eye!
ReplyDeleteReally great catch Eric. Let's just hope that your artistic abilities are not linked to you being in a bad mood :-)
ReplyDeleteEric, I hope whatever had you in a bad mood is long gone. That sunset looks mighty nice to me and love the colors on the back canvas to your magnificent lady Ms. Eiffel
ReplyDeleteLovely. Let the sun set on that bad mood. Dan and I say "hi!" - xo A
ReplyDeleteLovely! I think you got a better picture than the other photographer by a mile! :)
ReplyDeletePS Hope you feel better too!
Great pictures come about when you least expect it! Nice shot! Just the thought of Paris puts me in a good mood. I trust obtaining this good shot perked you right up!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Eric! You do it everytime!!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine you in a bad mood Eric, but sometimes life's a bitch.
ReplyDeleteAs your happiness is our number one priority, I had a quick look on the net and found '100 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU'RE UPSET.'
So I have selected a few which you may wish to try:
Dance in your pyjamas. (indoors only)
Do the splits. (are you joking?)
Call a friend and ask them if they want to have a slumber party. (be very careful which friend you call)
Cover your entire body with cocoa butter and fall asleep (how?)
Try break dancing. (you ARE joking)
Leave the house wearing fabulous lingerie under a coat (note: if you are a man you may get accused of being a flasher: the world is cruel sometimes)
Write the stuff you like about your body ON your body with a marker. (probably best not to use an indelible marker as the body shape may change over the years)
Or instead, take a beautiful photo like this one.
LOL Drummond! Be honest, you didn't find that on the web but on your "to do list"!
ReplyDeleteMichael, I copied them off your list.
ReplyDeleteUKLynn? UKLynn? Where are you when I need you? Wasn't it you that posted that list on Pinterest, pinned it, poked-it, perfected it?
ReplyDeleteI will only make one comment after LGreen Writer's one: "Anyway, hope you are now in a GREAT mood! : )"
ReplyDeleteYES!!
(OK, Drummond's list helped a lot of course... ) ;-))
Your bad mood is our reward - merci!
ReplyDeleteWhich of my boards are you referring to, Michael? ;) I have several and yes Paris is there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot this, which is why it is worthy of Pinterest! ;D
Drummond I love the 'dance in your pyjamas'. I have immediately donned them and am doing so right now. It's been a tough day.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful photo! And Petrea's right -- calendar!
ReplyDeleteI also like Drummond's good advice :-)
Whoa. A very cool and unique perspective!
ReplyDeleteLove this one dear Eric!
