Le Louvre, backstage!

Le Louvre museum is one of the largest - if not the largest! - museum in the world. Thousands of masterpieces can be seen there (yes, including La Joconde!) but an incredible number of pieces of art remains hidden to the public because of a space shortage or because they need to be "repaired". If you're lucky, you can catch some of them on a photo, like here!

  4. i remember a class tour there, when i was 14. one fellow sneaked a smock in the bathroom. a cleaning lady caught him and said: "it is not allowed to smoke in the bathrooms of the world's largest museum"...
so yes, it is the world's largest. but i'm not so sure if it's really a good thing, because you always get lost, and you never get to see what you went to see...
