Willy Ronis Photo exhibit

If you come to Paris (before May 27) and if you' are interested in old black and white Paris pictures I strongly recommend you go and see the Willy Ronis photo exhibit at l'Hotel de Ville (Paris Town hall). You will see brilliant pictures from the beginning of the 20th century. If you want a preview click here. As you can see, this exhibit is pretty popular, but if you arrive early enough in the morning, around 10am, but not before, because it only opens at 10!- it's not so bad).

PS : please welcome three newcomers in the City Daily Photo network: Wiesbaden (Germany) and Richmond (Virginia, USA) and, as of today Tallinn in Estonia...

  1. I'd love to see that! But I don't think I will make it back to Paris again until May, unfortunately. Thanks for the link to the gallery!

  3. Thanks, Eric! We walked by last Sunday, and were disappointed to see it was ending. I am so glad it has been prolonged--now to get the hubby out of either bed or working on his computer on a Saturday morning.

:) Merci beaucoup pour les renseignements!

  4. Mrs. b...I highly recommend you getting hubby out of bed for this. It's truly worth it, but only if you get there early (around 9:45am to beat the crowd). The film of Willy Ronis inside is also worth the watch!

  8. Thanks for the tip, Eric. How I wish I could go to Paris in the spring like I did last year. This year I'm afraid I won't be able to make until either the fall or for New Year's. Thanks for keeping us informed of events in Paris.

  18. I saw this exhibit in November and it is vachement Superbe!! I went on a Monday around 11AM and there wasn't a line, but it was quite full inside. It was worth the crowd though, it was wonderful! I love the way the city of Paris has free exhibits here all the time, also saw a great one on Yves Montand a couple of years ago. Merci!! kp gallant
