Adriana Karembeu in Paris!

This photo will probably ring a bell to those of you who have been visiting PDP for more than a year, but I could not resist taking another one today. As you may know, top model Adriana Karembeu is the "ambassador" for the French Red Cross in France and every year she appears in an ad campaign to boost gifts during the annual money collection weekend (which is this weekend.) The principle of this campaign is that, since Adriana cannot be everywhere this weekend, all money collectors should replace her! Obviously some of them take their part very seriously!! Very clever and very funny! Clicking on the ring a bell link was a good opportunity to re-read the post about french healthy system. I was talking about it just today with my husband, how wonderful it must be to have such a good health system. If I'm not mistaken Canada has something similar too right?
Well, anyway, Red Cross, an efficient healthy system.. it's good to see that these kind of things actually works in some countries.

I love this twist on an old theme. It seems there is always somebody or some charity asking for money, but they make this one fun and you really want to take part in the campaign.

Michael, I know Red Cross helps several people here too, like when there are floods. We don't hear much about it though.

Love your photograph, Eric. I took several in Menton of the guys collecting for the Croix Rouge too. Thought I might use one for the 'red' posting on July 1st but perhaps I'll get otherwise inspired.
The Red Cross do so much good - it's good to see the guys who promote and collect for them getting photographed.

I was in Paris earlier in the week and young girls were taking collections on the street corners. I gave a donation and received my Croix-Rouge Francaise sticker - a meaningful souvenir. It's such a good organization.
