The love bike!
Sunday, November 15, 2009 Publié par Eric Tenin

Intriguing isn't? At first I thought someone had found an interesting way of parking his bike (In Paris, where space is scarce, people find it hard to put away their bike - and leaving it in the street is rather risky as there are many thefts). But in fact, this "love bike" is just a store sign belonging to Allovelo.com, a bike rental and repair place located in the 2nd arrondissement. A nice alternative to Velib... FYI. I'm currently working on the 2010 PDP Calendar. The color version is already completed... I still have the B&W to make. Thanks for your help again.

At first it looks like just a normal Paris skyline picture, until you notice the pink frame of the bike. It certainly is an interesting sign for a store to have.
The color of the sky looks amazing against the color of the rooftops?

I LOVE this photo. Every day you outdo yourself. A page-a-day PDP calendar would be great, and you certainly have more than enough fabulous photos.

This is a nice alternative to your 11 August 2008 post, Eric. Your title today immediately reminded me of this other one.
I see the color version of the 2010 calendar includes some personal choices, doesn't it? The February photo for instance. That's true it was missing in the survey results. I'm looking forward to the B&W version with its own surprises too.

Lovely photo, with the heart bike and the roof tops!
The calendar is spectacular! The cover is breath taking!!!!
Is the B&W version going to have different photos??!!!

The picture is very intriguing indeed. I 'love' it.
The calendar is great and the front cover was my favorite picture of 2009. Great choice!

I love the calender, Eric!! can't wait to see the B+W to see which I will want more!!

This is adorable, Eric, not just for the 'love bike' {LOL} but the rooftops in the background!
The colour PDP calendar is magnificent. The cover is a brilliant choice, and I'm so happy you included the fountain for Feb, as I'd completely forgotten that one and it's very special. Looking forward to checking out the B&W one soon.

This could be a summer photo with the great sunlight. When I think how long it takes to get permission to get new mail boxes in my apt building, I wonder how they got the right to plaster a bike on the outside of the wall!

"plaster" = "attach" for those wondering...

So cute! I love this, Eric! Congratulations on the 2010 calendar - so cool. xo Anne

@Michael: maybe they didn't ask to anybody ;-)

I guess there are 2 clever Parisians responsible for this scene.

I love this, very fun. The architecture is amazing as always, this adds a fun twist, plus pink is my favorite colour!! Love the calendar too, fabulous job. Can't wait to get one!! Have a great Sunday everyone. Valorie

Parfait! Afterall, it is Paris.
November 15, 2009 6:29:00 PM GMT+01:00
I'd like a bike like that :)

Me too, Lynn! Shot from this angle, where you can't see the street, this could almost be a scene from some long ago time. Love it!

long time no see!
love the love bike, brilliant!
best regards!

The love bike is great. I ordered the color version of the calendar. It's gorgeous. If I like the B & W version better, I'll just have to get it for a friend.

I love the love bike! Oh, and those exquisite rooftops...le sigh.
So...I was just reading all the inquiries as to how I *happen* to be the first in line when it comes to ET! ET!! ET!!! photos, and I have no answers for you. I have not hacked my way into Eric's computer, nor have I installed a web cam in Eric's home. It just happens naturally, I swear.
BTW Eric, don't forget to buy some more toothpaste; you are almost out.

LOL Suzy!

@Mrs Vandertramp "... and you certainly have more than enough fabulous photos." ONe day, one day... I'll make one!
@Flore "I see the color version of the 2010 calendar includes some personal choices, doesn't it?" Yes, of course ;-)
@Monica "Is the B&W version going to have different photos??!!!" Yes!
@Michael "I wonder how they got the right to plaster a bike on the outside of the wall!" I ask myself the exact same question when I saw this. Probably not that easy...
@Suzy "BTW Eric, don't forget to buy some more toothpaste; you are almost out." LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Can you send me the apple flavored one that you secretly keep in this bottom drawer of you bathroom cabinet?!
November 16, 2009 12:36:00 AM GMT+01:00
LOLLLL Suzy
November 16, 2009 10:21:00 AM GMT+01:00
almost looks like a scene from Amelie Poulain.
November 16, 2009 6:15:00 PM GMT+01:00
LOL Eric! Touche!
November 16, 2009 8:22:00 PM GMT+01:00
I like your reader's idea of a 365 days of Paris Daily Photo calendar! I'll queue up for that!
I love bikes and so the combination of subject and place are a perfect blend for me. Thank you for looking up!

Wonderful!
It is so nice to see the creativity of people in Europe. For some reason, I very strongly believe that arts are a big thing in Europe!
