Jogging along the Seine

Summertime, sun, outdoor, feeling more relax... isn't that the perfect moment to go back to "doing some exercise, I feel so good afterwards!" Well yes, that is surely what this lady is thinking - besides running along the Seine is probably much more appealing than among cars... Mind you the embankment of the Hudson river is not that bad either, remember? As for me, I just renewed my membership to the gym yesterday! (You did not think I was going to run anywhere else than on a machine, did you?!).

  1. Nice shot! Without the woman, the wall would not look as tall as it is.

  2. Isn't about time for the Paris plage to open?

  3. Oh, that reminded me to check the clock: time to go to the gym! I was completing my passport renewal and lost track of the time. Went for a nice bike ride along the Mississippi River yesterday with some friends, then ate a lot! It all evens out...

    Good job keeping up with the exercise, M. PDP. (You folks would not believe how much healthier he looks!)

  6. Eric, happy running, wherever you choose to do it! {Can you run a few miles for me while you're at it?}

  7. Jogging along the Seine is certainly more fun than around the Parc Monceau, Eric! Don't you think so?

  8. Well I admire you for renewing, Eric, but I loathe the gym! Nothing more boring to me than running (or attempting to, in my case) whilst watching some hideous music video with lots of other sweaty people I don't know. lol. I do, however, love swimming and really must renew THAT membership just as soon as I can. The shadow in this shot makes it all. Lovely.

  9. The gym ? Eric, I thought you got your exercise chasing victims for PDP photos, LOL ;o)

    Nice shot. I really like this wall with all the different textures.
    Isn't this the same place as the photo with the drumming guy ? That's one of my all time favourites.

  10. Great shot! At least if you're running on a machine, your attention isn't diverted by the beauty of Paris and all those possible photo ops. {Think I might skip my power walk this morning—it's almost 100°F, (38°C) already!}

  11. What a great way to start the day. Love the textures in the wall. Unfortunately, I am also reminded of how lazy I've gotten! I enjoy exercising outside too whenever possible, but the heat's been pretty intense here in Pennsylvania.

    Eric, I have to agree with Lynn about going to a gym. I know I should be doing some weight work, but I just find the machines, and gyms in general, to be rather boring and frenetic at the same time. Congrats, though, for going to the gym; I wish I could.

  12. Nice reminder that I didn't get up this morning, Eric! I did yesterday and it gave me a migraine though, so am I cleared for today? I'm in "training" for what my sis and I like to call our "TWT -- Teeny Weeny Triathlon", a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike ride, and then a 1.5 mile run. I can handle that (I hope!) So, go everyone!

  13. the only downsize about running along the Seine river is that sometimes you have to climb up stairs, run on the sidewalk and go down stairs again since the bank stops.
