Smoking Valet!

Monday, February 28, 2011 Publié par Eric Tenin

Clever idea. After the smoking ban in restaurants and bars that took place a couple of years ago, most places installed smoking corners outside on their terrace. This one - a Corsican restaurant called Le temple - organized its corner around this odd looking mannequin (look at the ashtray on the tray). Pretty clever and funny as well.

Good god, I am glad this is a mannequin! In the thumbnail pic on my sidebar I just could not tell what I was seeing. Actually, this would make a great statement against smoking!

I can't read it when I blow it up.

However, I then DID notice the well thought out mixture of animal prints...some big, some smaller which, in decorating terms, makes for a well coordinated outfit...even done well on the ear! How chic!!(But his face is butt ugly).

This would put me off smoking, if I wasn't already.

Alexa: Despite the well coordinated outfit, I can guarantee that this is NOT Lois naked in stillettos on a Portugese fazenda. (See yesterday's comments.)

Smokers must be happy with friends like that.

LOL It's Dobson the Butler! There is one downtown, (as well as his female counterpart), at a store and they dress him up for the different holidays. Very funny. But I think that this would put me off smoking if I weren't already! Wrinkles, wrinkles, wrinkles!

Funny picture but true to life. Smoking accelerates aging. The poor guy is probably only in his early 40's!

When Lionel and I were in Paris last March, we rented a little flat on Rue du Vertbois, and we passed by this gentleman everyday. What a nice remembrance of our holiday! Thanks, Eric!

Love the mannequin. I am so glad they finally banned smoking in the restaurants in Paris. However, when people smoke outside, you can smell it everywhere!
