The perfect walk...

No I did not take this photo in the middle of Le Bois de Boulogne or de Vincennes, but right behind the Bastille place (you can even see the open air metro station sign in the foreground) where boats owners can dock their yacht. This place is called Le port de l'Arsenal, I already mentioned it many times (like last summer), but I'm never tired of showing it! Not to forget that it's a fabulous place to have a walk - or even fish! BTW did you notice the beautiful light and the sun reflection? Well, that's the kind of weather we're enjoying in Paris at the moment. Amazing (I did not even turn on the heating yesterday!). Very unusual...

  1. It looks like a wonderful place for a stroll.

You deserve some good weather! It's pouring rain and cold in Pasadena right now. I wonder what we did wrong...

  2. Very pretty photo. The autumn has been mild all over the U.S. and Europe, I think. However, that has changed here and neither of you get any sympathy from me. It is 20 F (-6 C) on the thermometer outside my kitchen window at 5:00 p.m. I certainly do have the heat on. In fact, I need to plan my dinner: a ribeye steak on the grill. Yes, I positioned my grill so that I can easily clear the snow away from it. And the bottle of Bordeaux awaits. Hmmm, I think it's cocktail time. Winter won't stop me from eating well!

  3. I love this neighborhood. You can actually see some of the "traditional Paris" and get lost in time, there. I guess I mean you can walk around and not be too certain what decade you are in since things haven't changed all that much (except maybe for the Velibs and these ugly posts in the sidewalk where we used to park ;)

  4. If we are all mentioning the weather, I was approaching a rain shower on I95 expressway in Miami and within 3 minutes, I drove out of it and into beautiful humid weather. Nothing I saw in my drive, tho, was as romantic looking as this.

Looks like you were standing on the roof of the metro station. :)
