Another eye on Paris

I came across these intriguing posters near the Beaubourg area (Pompidou center). I thought they were meant to promote a new clothing line or something of the kind... I was wrong. It appears that Buster Adams is a photographer and that he also takes - very cool - photos of Paris (among many other subjects). Take a look at his very creative website and visit the "I am a tourist/Je suis un touriste" section where you'll see Paris though his eyes.

  3. Firstly Eric, I adore this photo. You want know what the guy in the poster is looking up at. I also went to his site, but frankly, all his photos look the same. Like they were done with that new mobile application Instagram. Pffft...noting like PDP.

What I really wanted to say here though (probably will be unpopular) is that you seem to get lots of comments for all of the typical monument shots and fewer for what I'd call true Paris shots. Are we that shallow? I think the benefit of PDP over the years has really been the insider's (your) view of the city. Please don't stop!

  6. I'm sorry, but the pictures are not nearly as nice as yours, Eric.

    Long live the PDP!! :)

  7. I saw "Hugo" last week and loved it. This guy's pic reminds me of Georges Melies' rocket in the moon's eye:) Oh and Eric, I second what Michael said about showing us the real Paris!

  9. ;-) Thanks everyone (including Michael!), but it's also good to see what others do, isn't?

  10. Both your photos and Sab's are better, but maybe M. Adams is not posting high quality shots to avoide people stealing them. I don't know.

As to the subjects of your photos, I like how you move back and forth from daily street scenes and impressions to the beautiful monuments. It's all Paris, n'est-ce pas?
