More Christmas lights...

I'm just back from dinner in Paris and on the way back I passed by Avenue Montaigne, a famous avenue located off the Champs Elysées. It's one of the most luxurious streets in Paris and for Christmas they decorated the place in a stunning way. It was hard to capture the beauty of the scenery in a global photo so I chose to show you a close up - the "flower" in the foreground actually belongs to one of the fake trees they installed at the crossing of avenue Montaigne and rue François the 1st.

  1. The flower looks so beautiful and fragile.
    Paris is worth a visit at Christmas. I did.

  2. I haven't been out to see the lights, and even thouth it's -9 C tonight, I'm going out to eat...Italian. No offence, mes amis, it's the full moon night at Pazzaluna. Can't resist.

    Ciao.

  5. Nice shot!

    So they are not doing the "falling snow" theme with the trees, this year?

  7. So elegant and beautiful.
    I have never been in Paris during Christmas, but it's one of my goals to do that.

  8. So pretty, Eric. 'Fragile' is a great way to describe them. I keep imagining I'd prefer to visit Paris in spring but these night lights twinkling are making me think I could brave the cold for a Christmas in Paris. {Not this Christmas, unfortunately!}

  9. Just beautiful, Eric. The color of the golden flowers is so rich it makes me want to drink it!

  10. Shell, in fact it hasn't gotten that cold here yet. Still time to hop on a plane!

    This avenue at Christmas is one of the loveliest I've seen. No crowds of the Champs Elysées and just simply elegant.

  11. Hi again everyone. Just thought I'd share this coupon code I got yesterday for $10 off Zazzle products for this weekend. Makes that PDP calendar a lot less expensive!

    Code: OWCLYIACMBOTIOQOQUIY

  12. Maybe I wrote too fast. It's a one time use code, so the first person to grab it gets the discount. I won't need it, so still happy to share it.

  16. I remember seeing the falling snow on the Champs Elysee trees. It was the first time I had seen that kind of light display and was mesmerized.

    I would love to see this picture in person, too, but I have been eating Italian food too, Jeff.
