Women's day!

I know, you must be a bit sick with it by now, but I could not help it! I had to go to Trocadero for lunch and, well, on the way back to work, I went to the Trocadero esplanade and took this shot. I thought it was very appropriate to post a photo of this beautiful, ever young lady to celebrate women's day! I like that you can only see its silhouette and that it's so high (320 meters / 1,050 ft, depending on if you include the TV antennas or not - which is some kind of a cheat in my opinion ;-)) in comparison to the rest of the city. FYI, I just read that "The third level observatory's upper platform is at 279.11 m the highest accessible to public in the European Union and the highest in Europe". I did not know that...

  1. This is my favorite Iron Lady ( as opposed to Margaret Thacher). You can never post too many photos of Le Tour Eiffel

  8. A chance to take a shot like this doesn't happen every day, Eric. You've got to grab it when you can.

  9. I don't think we'd ever complain about an Eiffel Tower picture. We keep coming back for more, don't we ;)

  11. How fitting that you would post a picture of this famous "Lady" on Int'l Women's Day - thank you for that - and as others have said - "we never tire of looking at pics of the Eiffel Tower"!

  12. Sick of it? Jamais de la vie!! Besides, it's such a stunning photo of our fave "lady"—and the horrible Tour Montparnasse is hidden behind her. Merci for that!

  15. Are you kidding? We love your photos. I'll bet you could create an "Eiffel Tower Daily Photo" blog and it would be very popular!
