Welcome back Mr Sun!

After a loooong and dark winter, the sun has decided to return yesterday! I heard on the news that we broke some sort of records (number of days without sun...) and that the number of people who suffered from "winter depression" has doubled this year! Anyway... this Sunday was a lovely day and everyone - I'm talking everyone! - went out to celebrate (you should have seen the line in front of Angelina!). I took this photo towards the end of the day; I like it because of the light and because it's - to me anyway - very Parisian.

  1. Beautiful. Maybe global warming will ease the cold winters. I just need sunshine and warmth.

  2. love the shades of blues in this picture (no pun intended) and what a lovely pop of yellow in the sky from Mr. (or Ms.) Sun.

"Winter depression" is the pits, here in Connecticut we still have piles of snow left over from the blizzard from weeks ago but even a short walk will lift spirits.

May all of our days be sunny!

  4. I love the subtle shades of blue too, and that brilliant patch of sunlight—looks like a balloon full of sunshine was just broken by the (to quote Suzy) ET! ET!! ET!!!

  6. I guess I'm not moving to Paris! I will have to keep it in my heart as a vacation city. We have a rainy season here for two to three weeks, and that lack of sunlight is all I can take.

  7. Someone biking over the bridge with a beautiful sunset and the Eiffel Tower in the background - can't get any more Parisian than that :)

  9. What a great shot - the gleaming gold looks so delicate. I can almost smell the crisp, fresh air from here in Cleveland, Ohio.

  14. @Ann "After over a week of rain and horrendous storms here the sun is back and I'm off to the beach!" Something we can never say in Paris!

@LgreenWater ". I can almost smell the crisp, fresh air from here in Cleveland, Ohio." LOL

@Jeff" We had a little sun today, and yesterday also. It looked good." You bet it does. But I suppose you're still cold aren't you?

@Anne ""Winter depression" is the pits, here in Connecticut we still have piles of snow left over from the blizzard from weeks ago but even a short walk will lift spirits. " As long as you vae some light - from the sun - it's OK. What's depressing is the lack of light.
