Petit Palais Façade

Today's theme day is "Facades". Living in Paris I had more choice than I could even think of, but... on Saturday night I had a terrible food poisoning which led me to no sleep at all and a whole day in Bed! So I had to dig into my photo collection and here is what I found... It's the Petit Palais which a paper company (Canson) adorned with colorful wrappings. I wanted to post this photo earlier but was waiting to go back (I don't like this one too much (too many cars, white sky...). But for now, it'll do. I'm going back to bed right right this second! Don't forget to check the other facades throughout the world by the way!

  1. Eric, I'm sorry, food poisoning is one of the worst things a body can feel. I'm amazed you posted this beautiful picture for us.

    I hope you're better already.

  4. As facades go this is pretty impressive and I think the coloured columns are rather fetching.

Re poisoning episode, have you upset anyone recently?

  5. I am so sorry to read about the food poisoning. That is horrible to go through. Your photo, though, is wonderful! It's fascinating to see all of that ornate architectural detail, and then the beautiful colors.

  9. Oh, dear. How awful for you Eric. I hope you are feeling much better today. The picture is just what we need to see in gloomy, wet N.H. The color does wonders for lifting one's spirit.

  10. Weighing in a bit late. Before reading the text that you posted with the photo, I immediately thought you were posting a "rainbow" in solidarity with California finally achieving universal marriage. Everywhere one has gone since Friday, one finds rainbow lighting arrangements (the front of San Francisco City Hall, the front of San Francisco International Airport) and flags flags flags. I thought you were just adding to the fun. It's a great photo, no matter what the intent. --Sara PS Glad to hear from your next post that you are feeling better.
