La Favorite, my "favorite" bistrot!

At the beginning of rue de Rivoli (number 4 exactly) there is a café / Bistrot called La Favorite that I love! Not only for the food - a mix of Parisian/international cuisine (which includes hamburgers, yes!), but also for its atmosphere: very French and lots of little interesting things to see in the decor, including the menu that looks like a newspaper (see photograph). The bread is to die for and... even the waiters are nice! Definitely worth a visit...

    1. I did not AT ALL. In fact they probably have no idea that I posted this ;-) NONE of my photos where ever paid or "sponsored" as they call it in the offers I often receive...

  3. @ Candi Lynn Avlakeotes;
    well hat's interesting - tks for this Inside info - I'm just back from a 10days singing stage in the French Savoie Alps where our espresso on our own machine was tons better than the very same coffee on the same machine in the Paris region where we live.... We said it had to be the water - so we know it's those 'little all important details' which DO matter.

    1. Yeah yeah. The Savoie water is better than the Paris water?! I don't buy it ;-)

      Hope the singing was good though ;-)

  4. Oh I think I know this bistro, it's got a nice interior with white tiles on the walls. We were going to go in there for lunch once but didn't for some reason which I can't remember. Wish we had now.

    1. Yes, metro style tiles. Very fashionable (these metro tiles are everywhere now) but still nice.

  5. I'd go for the bread alone, which looks délicieux—but I'll pass on the 170-euro bottle of Champagne, merci!

    1. Yeah well bistros are no place to have Champagne in general!

    1. I know it sounds very surprising LOL. But I have really been surprised by the quality of their service I must say. The waiter was probably an intern, he must have been fired when they found out he was actually nice to customers!
