Of course I like going on vacation, lay in the sun, discover new cities like Istanbul... but I can't help it, after a certain time I miss Paris! I have to confess it, flying over the city a couple of hours ago felt great. I am also very glad to find you back here although I have not had the time to read all your comments yet. But I will... Right now I just feel like going to bed!

Welcome back, Eric! I hope your trip was enjoyable. As nice as it is to get away and recharge, it is wonderful to get back into your own bed, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Maybe you can share a photo (or two!) of Istanbul?
ReplyDeleteEric, so glad you made it back to Paris safe and sound. There is just so much going on today in the world, but I guess it doesn't do any good worrying. Just thankful you are home!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Eric. I was sad to see that you couldn't afford a seat inside the plane and had to sit strapped to the wing! LOL
ReplyDeleteGo to bed Eric, forget about the computer for a minute. If you need to take a couple of days before you can get back to us, I think most of us will understand :)
ReplyDelete(Er... Hellllllpppppppppppp, they're shooting at me!!!!!!!!)
LadyJicky: blogging doesn't pay much ;)
ReplyDeletewelcome back...
ReplyDeleteHeym Wecome back, Eric. It's not quite the 28th here. The new academic year stats today. Aarrgghh!
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back. I hope you had fun. I love photos taken out of plane windows.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home.. It's nice to have you back.
ReplyDeleteI join all your other devoted groupies and give you series of horays for your return!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you had a stash of fine photos to keep us entertained while you escaped to a well deserved holiday.
I just have no idea of how we could have gotten along with out of foto fix from Paris.
Steve in sunny Chicago
There's no place like home! Welcome back! Hope you had a great trip!
ReplyDeletewelcome back Eric, if you returned a couple of days later we would be very worried!
ReplyDeleteI just have one question Eric... How did you convince the guy in tourist class to let you come back to the middle of the plane from your cushy first class seat to take a photo over the wing? My plane window shots never come out this good and what a perfect post for your return.
ReplyDeleteHow DID we survive without your charm, wit and all that is PDP! Glad you're home safe and sound from Gobble-Gobble-Land Eric! You and Edwin are going to have reader's cramp once you're done catching up! What was your favorite part about your trip? But don't tell us NOW...get some shut-eye first! LOL! (=
ReplyDeleteHi Eric, welcome back.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can show us a photo or two of your trip to Turkey.
Salut
Welcome home Eric, we miss you...
ReplyDeleteAs Dorothy said "There's no place like home" I'm glad you are back safe and sound. Now get some more rest!
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence. As I saw the plane photo I thought of the tragic plane accident of Sunday morning that happened only 5 miles from our home. We leave for France every year from that very airport and usually on a Comair flight. Thank heaven for your safe return, Eric. So far, one of the victims was an aquaintance of ours. Lexington is in shock and will be for quite a long time.
ReplyDeleteWellcome back =)
ReplyDeleteHey Buzzgirl ("Dude"???<--what's that about?), I really miss your old pic! (You'll have to see Buzzgirl's blog to understand the "dude" thing...)
ReplyDeleteHeya Eric!! Welcome back! Glad to know your ok :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back !
ReplyDeleteWe missed ya !
Welcome back Eric! I agree with you. It is great to travel and relax but after a while you only want to get back home . . to your own place, to your own bed. I am happy that you have had safe travels.
ReplyDeleteWELCOME Back!! I'm sure all of Paris[and thereabouts]missed you!! The City of Light adores being captured by your lens!! So, what did you bring back??? Worry beads??? Pretty little inlaid boxes?? Get your rest!
ReplyDeleteSo, we want to see a photo of your souvenier tan! ;^) A special request--it would be fun to see a few of your fave Turkish photos on your PDP Making Of site if you have time? Hope you have a day to catch up on laundry and reorient yourself before jumping back into work.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a good thing you got out of there before the bombs started going off. Were you near any of the places where there were explosions?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for all your wishes, I am really touched. I don't have the time right now to answer all your questions, but I will later this week. I will also publish some Turkey photos!
ReplyDeletePS: I was in Antalya the day before the bombing but I doubt they would have targeted my hotel!
Te voilà de retour, ouf, j'ai un instant pensé que tu pouvais être bloqué a cause des retours cahotiques depuis la Turquie.
ReplyDeletePlease explain Michael you were standing ON the wing :)
Chris, you have totally lost me...
ReplyDeleteIstanbul! Way more exotic then my most exotic vacation: California. However it was under way cool circumstances, special invitation by NASA.
ReplyDeleteAlors Eric as-tu trouvé un stambouliote qui serait chaud pour u DPB ??
ReplyDeleteDid you find one istanbulite who is keen on running a DPB ??
