Snake charmer
Today I am off to Turkey for 10 days. I will not check my mail nor connect to the Internet or this blog (which will of course continue while I am away) for 10 long days. It will be hard, but I'm sure I can manage (well, sort of!). I will miss you, but I will be happy to read your comments on my phone, but won't be able to answer until I come back. Well... IF I come back. Who knows, I may come across a dangerous snake and no snake charmer like this one that I photographed in Le jardin des Plantes!

ReplyDeleteHave a very safe trip and a wonderful vacation! P.S. I used to know a guy from Turkey many years ago...his name was Emrah - if you see him, tell him I said hi. ;)
ReplyDeleteEric, have a wonderful holiday! You will be missed terribly!!!! What will I do for my daily Paris fix??? :(
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip.. Looking forward to your safe return..
ReplyDeleteBON VOYAGE Eric...!! Does this mean we might get a pic or two from some lovely spot in Turkey? If you run into any snakes, pick them up like Moses did and they'll turn into a staff! As Michael said, I'm sure you could charm the snake back into his wicker basket...Oh la la!! Enjoy!!! You'll be missed!!
ReplyDeleteEric...have a great time. I look forward to hearing about the trip upon your return!
ReplyDeleteGobble-Gobble Eric! Bon Voyage my friend! Have an awesome time...we'll all hold down the fort! We'll miss you, and will all be anxious to hear all about it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a fun and safe trip, Eric. Maybe we'll see "Turkey Daily Photo" for a short while?
ReplyDeleteWow, he looks as if he could walk away at any second. This statue is really amazing. I love the B&W, the sunlight and shadows, and the angle of the photo, too. Forget the snakes, he's charmed ME!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely holiday in Turkey. I hope you will be visiting Antalia on the coast. I have friends that lived there, and the photos they've shared are spectacular. Hope you are inspired and can wind down and enjoy the people and scenes.

ReplyDeleteHave fun
Hi Eric! Enjoy your vacation! Will wait for your return =)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time! Nice angle on this one.
ReplyDeleteEven though there will be a daily photo on your blog, we will miss you, Eric! Have fun in Turkey (I assume that this is a vacation, not a business trip.) That is one country I really want to visit very soon - my boyfriend has done work there for three consecutive summers and absolutely loves it and its inhabitants.
ReplyDeleteThe photo, and yesterday's photos are wonderful! Maybe you should start Paris Daily Statue.
Have a great trip Eric. If you'd been staying a few days longer in Turkey, you might have bumped into my mum - who will be going to visit family. :)
ReplyDeleteThis statue is awesome. I thought it was real for a moment and was looking for the snake! If you run into one, just be sure it doesn't charm you into eating any apples!?! Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday, hope the weather serves you well.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Eric. Is that a snake's head on the top of his head? Have a wonderful holiday. All the best.
ReplyDeleteBON VOYAGE ERIC!
ReplyDeletet'amuse bien et prend beaucoup des photos!
I hope we will see some pics of Turkey,
ReplyDeleteOkay, since I've been dreaming about this statue (in much the same way as some of the City Daily Photo bloggers were dreaming of Kala after the August 1st self portrait theme day ;^) ), I thought I would Google for more info on the sculpture. Here is what came up.

In light of the hype over the film "Snakes On A Plane," this is interesting to know about Rousseau and the influences on artists in the early 1900s in Paris.
