The sky is clearing up

Look at this blue sky (ok, don't pay attention to the chimneys!)... It's going to be like this until Sunday (at least). Which is good news for the 5th annual PDP picnic! (In case you still haven't heard of it LOL!). I took this photo in Parc des buttes Chaumont and I love the perspective. The lady in red was shaking a rug or something. Nothing more to add...

  1. And I think the lady in red makes this photo! I'm so glad that you'll have great weather but so sorry I won't be there.

  2. Ah, yes, you captured me doing a little cleaning and taking in the view from my balcony. :-). . . Oh, wait, that's the fantasy me that is in Paris right now and ready to go to the picnic. Unfortunately, the real me is doing some cleaning here in Seattle, and shaking the kitchen rug off the deck with a view through the trees and roof tops (with very different chimneys) to a little sliver of Elliott Bay and West Seattle.
I love the shape of the roof in your shot. Wishing you many blue sky days and a chance to enjoy them!

  5. You'd be surprised, some people like smokey chimneys -- which I found out from nature photographer, Matthew Polvorosa Kline, who recently told me, "I especially like your oil on canvas "FDR Drive & the East River, N.Y." Here is a link to the painting if you are interested :)

  7. The roof of this building is amazing. I'd love to see the view from the balcony where the rugs are shaken out :)

Have a wonderful time at the picnic.

  8. Eric,
You and all the bloggers have a fine time and don't you worry one bit about moi. I'll be here in Birmingham crying my eyes out because I can't be there for the umpteenth time. Sniff, Sniff, Sniff, I'll be fine. Don't you worry. When I get to Paris later this month, I'll swill large amounts of wine and try and recover.

  11. LOOOOL Tonton, I love your sense of humor!!! Excellent. Always fun to read PDP!
Great shot, Eric. Many details, very interesting. Reminds me of your 7 May 2009 post. Same kind of photo but I prefer this one because of the lady in red we can see. See how good I am in searching into PDP files and how I much prefer it than other things!

  12. I love the way the house and the trees contrast with the more industrial background. The chimneys and the concret building on the bottom left...
I can't wait to see you all..
And Michael I have got your birthday present with me ;) and Cheddar!

  13. I love this Parc... I had a 7-hour-picnic there last week. Life in Paris is hard sometimes.
Anyway, this apartment is exactly was I am looking for ;) Is it actually in the garden or outside?..

  18. Merci Eiffel Tower Suzy! I cannot claim responsibility for the coding of the website. All I did was the design, text, layout and paintings, of course. I could have never coded the site. I am in no way a computer nerd. The set-up and coding is owed to a team, two men Electronic Engineers in Silicon Valley and a woman, who is a Website Designer (she did the coding) and the photos of my paintings were taken by a Parisian Photographer/Filmmaker living here in SF. I am so happy that you enjoyed all our efforts. Merci!

  19. A little "coucou" everyone. I'm overwhelmed with my job at the moment so I find it hard to comment, but it does not mean I'm not reading your comments ;-)

Don't cry Virginia, we'll tell you all about the picnic the day after ;-)

  20. j'aime bien cette photo et en fait les cheminées dans le fond ajoutent une note étrange, mais pas si vilaine que ça.

  21. The Chanel handbag are often the least used since a clutch is often only used going out for the evening. Chanel discount and Karl Lagerfield have an artistic eye that sees and expresses classic refined elegance like few other. Then look at the Chanel 2.55 suit which has become a part of fashion history.
