Cute!

I went to the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré today, where they have all these luxury stores hoping to find the last minute gifts I'm desperately seeking for. I did not find anything - way out of my budget! - but I found this cute little dog in the shop window of Lanvin. I did not have my proper camera with me so the quality of the photo is not too good (a little grainy), but good enough for you to have the spirit of the scene ;-)

  1. Now that's what I call a chic dog collar. Wish I could do my last-minute shopping in Paris! :~}

    You're always fantastic, but may I just say, the last photos from the past days are simply.....WOW!!!!!!!

  3. Can't believe I made it here before someone clever like, well anyone, asked, "So, how much is that doggy in the window?"

  4. Michael, in the rue du Faubourg Saint Honore, if you've got to ask the price -you can't afford it!

  5. Very cute . They had a whole pack of dogs in one of the widows (Printemps or Lafayette) wearing very smart christmas jumpers . I am presuming all pampered Parisien pooches as as chic as this one .

  6. Great idea for a window decoration.
    I would love to do my christmas shopping in Paris and I wouldn't even mind if my flight back home would be postponed ;o)

  7. I just have one question: What are they advertising for sale here? I've looked at this photo and can't quite figure it out. It is a cute window display (and a great picture, Eric!), but the meaning escapes me. It could be that my brain is just fried from the cold that I have too. LOL Merry Christmas, Everyone!!

  8. Oh Christie, haven't you heard of Lanvin boxer shorts and dog collars? All the rage!

    BTW, their website is quite classy.

  12. Very cute and slightly surreal! Was the guy seated on the chair on a lobster phone?

  13. It is a good window display. Great design skills, there.

    As to the mutt: anyone who lived through the mass prduced beer ad campaign in the U.S. some years back will never be able to look at one of these dogs without recalling the smell of cheap beer and cigarettes. (As low as I got, I never could drink that brand.)

  14. My first thought was that the dog looks like the dog in the Target ads. The quality and chicness of Lanvin is apparently lost on me.

    My second thought is what is up with the person's knee?

    Wonderful picture, though. Thank you as always.

  15. If it's grainy, it's lost on me, and my computer---just another wonderful Eric shot. When are you going to do the Christmas windows at Printemps?
