It's time!


1st of the month = theme day! The one of today is: Time. When I saw this, I immediately thought of a photo I took at the crossing of rue Lafayette and rue du Faubourg Montmartre where there is public clock. I looked on the web and found out that there are 101 public clocks like this one - or the same kind - in Paris, that is on average 5 per arrondissement (and that doe not include the ones in shop windows of course!). No excuse to be late... See the rest of the community to see if everyone thought of a clock when the heard about our community theme day...

    I love the public clocks in Paris. They get replaced over time with newer models, but in the same place.

  12. It is interesting that the clock seems to have 3 faces. . .is that right? Here in the States most of the public street clocks from the last century were put there by jewelry stores--I guess because jewelers made, sold, and repaired watches. I like public clocks, despite most of us having a modern version of the pocket watch on hand. . .our cell phones :-).

  19. Carrie/PHX It's a little known fact that Lady Macbeth DID have a dog, but it was of course, a little Scottie, not a little Spottie.
    It always shook its back leg before relieving itself and was thus named Shakespeer.

    This extract from Macbeth proves it:
