No, it's not David Hasselhoff and no, this is not Baywatch! It's a street of Paris (rue Croix des Petits Champs, in the 2nd arrondissement) and it's one of our few policemen that browse the Capital on rollerblades. Don't go thinking they are cooler because they use this unusual "vehicule"... They give as many tickets (see the picture!) as the ones who walk, drive or ride!
Not cooler, but definitly sexier !
ReplyDeleteRoller blading police... I've never seen that in Columbus!
ReplyDeleteI just want to let you know that I really appreciate your blog. I've been coming here often for the last month or so and it always a refreshing experience. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDelete> Fred, LOL! I am sure that is not the first thing they thought of when they created this brigade, but...
ReplyDelete> Rock, I have never seen that ANYWHERE - except in California of course! - but I think it's a good idea.
Does any of my visitors have such police squad in his/her country?
> Pare. Well thank you very much (blush!) Feel free to come back anytime...
ReplyDelete> Rock
By investigeting a little more I found out that this brigade was created in 1998 and that it was the first one in the world apparently...
I like your site a lot. We just got back from our first trip to Paris. Your pcitures bring back memories already.
ReplyDeleteThank you DR! I am glad you enjoyed your trip to paris. Do come back! (I have never been to Nurnberg but maybe I will!)
ReplyDeleteI so love your blog and am so happy I found it! I love "different" architecture (I know I spelled that wrong) and the Eiffel (Eiffle?) Tower is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commiting to this project! And thanks to you I found Rock's blog!! He's from my home town and I had no idea he was doing the same thing (I don't know him btw) and am thrilled to see someone doing something that I feel is so creative and showing off our city to it's advantage!
Bravo to you both!
If you ask me, that seems smarter because they are basically walking except with wheels! They can also move through small places unlike cars.
ReplyDeleteDe toutes façons, un casque, ça sert à protéger un cerveau, non ?
ReplyDeleteEn tout cas, ca leur fait des belles cuisses et un joli cul...
ReplyDeleteIsido, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy your sense of humour throughout the comments! :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I haven't seen any Police on rollerblade in San Francisco but we have the Mounted one (on horses). Quite impressive. The horses are huge. Note quite as "sexy" and "cool" as this guy, though.
Cool shot, Eric, Thank you! :-)
