Anything to support the French team!

Amazing what you find in the streets of Paris. I took this photo in a little shop called Circus at 38 Boulevard Montparnasse (15th arrondissement). I bet that due to the "so far so good" results of the French team, business must be good! Tuesday Italy beat Germany (sorry Berlin, Saarbrücken, Trier, Wiesbaden and Stuttgart) in the last two minutes 2-0. And today is France's big day (9 pm CET/7 pm GMT) when Les Bleus will play Portugal in the semi-final... All my fingers are crossed (not easy to type!).

  1. Nice Eric, I could wear this instead of my LST. I think France are going the whole way and my fingers are crossed too.

    'Allez les blues'

It's the Sainte Maxime funny caption competition today, come on over:)

But who'll see them? You can't very well wear them out to the match - or can you?!

  10. Ah, Man - that is very cool. I truly want France to win and, yes, to go ALL-THE-WAY. It would be incredibly to have - in the same year - the Steelers win the Super Bowl and the Bleus win the World Cup.

  11. Ha,ha the picture put the smile on my face. Great.

  12. All the best France! It would be great to have a France-Italy final - makes my job as a French and Italian teacher a lot easier as suddenly I'm teaching the languages of the two best football teams in the world!

  13. I'll try to keep track of the game by checking the internet. Allez Les Bleus!

(By the way, Elisabeth, the Steelers didn't win the Super Bowl. Seattle completely outplayed them, and the the officiating obviously was corrupt. I live in the Midwest, so am unbiased.)

  16. How on earth did you come across this shop Eric? Were you shopping for these in particular? We want a photo of that!

Elisabeth, I'm not sure they'll have much going "All the way" if they show up in those things!

And Nuno, I love your Porto Daily Photo blog so much that I hope you aren't too depressed after the match tonight that you stop it. We'll still support you even when it's over. (wow, I hope I don't eat my words tomorrow!)

  25. Hi everyone, thanks for all your support (except Nuno, of course and Luggi!!! - but I forgive you, now that I know the result...

Sorry to keep this blog busy with football related photos - I know that not everybody is interested in football - but, well, that is only once every 4 years and we don't win each time, so...

  29. Oh, and by the way, some of my buddies here in SF are very interested in the little blue-white-red goodies you have photographed on this post to "support the team" If you happen to pick-up one of these boxes and see a website on it, would you let us know please? I bet you some of the guys would order some!
