Fast Food French Style

Move over McDonalds, Cojean’s in town! A new concept in fast food here in Paris, this restaurant boasts a healthy menu delivered fast. Fruit juices, vegetable juices, soups, salads, and sandwiches, and as you’ll see, no doubt yogurt as well. This particular photo was taken at the Group Danone’s HQs off boulevard Haussmann, where they have co-branded with Cojean to reconnect with the daily life of its consumers. Interestingly enough, Danone has also made another clever maneuver…according to the Financial Times and Danone’s president, Zinédine Zidane could soon become part of Danone’s Board of Directors.

Note: I am currently on vacation at the moment and I will be back on August 27. I can read your comments, but will not be able to reply until I return, thank you.

  1. Good idea! Now, don't you really mean "move over Doisneau and your Baiser de l'Hotel de Ville, now we have the Baiser du Boulevard Hausseman" ? ;)

Good capture of this couple walking by! :)

  2. It seems that these kind of "healthy" fast food restaurants are a shy rising option to traditional fast food. All I can say is... Thank God!
Here in Chile, we recently received a new healthy fast food option from Spain.
"Fast Good" restaurant installed its only branch outside Spain in Santiago.
I'll show it to you in the next few days.

  4. Healthy food is hard to find here. Fast and healthy food: almost impossible. (I agree. Great shot of the couple walking toward.)

  7. Yeah for Zizi and the couple kissing in the photograph. I love that people can kiss in France without some puritan shouting "get a room". I say MORE kissing and MORE public displays of affection!

I will alwyas be FOR kissing!

  9. Peggy - really, do you not see people just having a little smooch like that where you are? I just can't imagine that.

Is this really fast food, like walk-in, walk-out fast? Or just Paris-fast? ie not a 2 hour lunch variation?

I liked Origen 99.9% restaurants in Barcelona : really healthy, really tasty, not all vegie, but plenty of options. They could export them to anywhere I am and make me v v v happy :-)

  10. Super street scene! Let us know what you think of their menu. When we lived in San Francisco we used to love going to Salmagundi's, a fast bistro that featured 3 fresh hot soups, one cold soup, and a build your own organic salad bar. They featured a few beverages and deserts as well. It was located near the Orphium Theater if I remember correctly. The only other one of these I know of was in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, CA, when we lived in Orange County. Neither one of these is around that I know of, but they were quick and healthy, and we still crave their wonderful cheese soup!

  13. Yes, no matter how you try to promote Cojean's in this picture, my first impression was "romance is still alive and well in Paris"!

  15. It sounds a lot like "Prêt à manger" in Great Britain.

  16. We'll try it next Spring. However, my Partenaire and I love the charm and ambiance of the traditional French cafes. We love to just sit and sip coffee while taking in all the beauty of Paris.

  20. I like this image again with the rain and the not-summer-anymore-clothes. I love the couple that you captured in the image and they actually make the photo work.

  22. very nice picture, it looks great with the couple !

however I just wanted to say that Cojean is more like Lina's sandwich prices (at least but more expensive i think). I do not specially like Mcdo but I do not pay 10€ my sandwich lol. i bring my own "healthy" food.
but the more important is that the picture is very nice
