Paris Cocktail

Every year it's the same. At the end of August, the social - and business - life takes a new start. Yesterday evening I then attended my first social event of "la rentrée" (back to school) at the musée Jaquemart André, where Samsung was launching a new range of cameras. They had the clever idea of giving a memory card to all the guests and lend them one of their new cameras for the evening so that we could all go home with our precious shots! This photo, for instance, was taken with their brand new NV3 (yes, it's free advertising!). Not bad eh?!

  2. Eric, quick question about your photo "Fastfood French Style..."

I noticed that the people in the photo are dressed in fall attire.....is it cold and rainy there now?? Today it was in the 90's the sunny in Washington DC!

  3. What a great marketing idea!

And btw, the 2 girls you shot almost look like models. Ahh.. these high heels, they'll kill your feet and your lower back, but man oh man, do they look nice!!!

  4. The Musee jaquemart Andre is one of those secret treasures in Paris. My husband and I really enjoyed our time there and not many people seem to visit which is sad as this is a beautiful place.

  5. Like many places you have shown, this is a very fancy event. And I really envy you. I checked the NV3 and looks really cool.
Any other pictures like this you want to show us...? :)

  9. Nahal: I think the "Indian Summer" is really a North American thing. Back there they really have the traditional "4 seasons," and there is a sharp drop in temperature in September. It looks like the sidewalk is wet, too, that means it's probably been raining.

Er.. either that, or the picture was taken last March ;) Ahem...

On the plus side, you get to wear more different kind of clothes for all the different seasons over there, but of course, who needs the 4 seasons for that ;)

    OK, I'll shut up now.

  14. Not bad, indeed. I'm forever in love with...Paris. Tomate, I'm sure you're right: it can only be the shoes! As to the photo, nice composition, mon ami. I felt just what Nasty expresses. Life is rough for a Parisian journalist! I was at work until 9:00 last night getting chewed on by a city council member who hates everything, especially when being televised. Well, I'm off to the Chicago Jazz Festival on Friday. We do what we can to get by...
