Need directions?

I know you're going to say I'm obsessed by window mannequins, as I already took and posted several photos of them here and you're probably right! But here I go again... I found these one at the back of a truck rue de Richelieu last week, ready to be delivered to their display destination. I love the reflexion in the ceiling. If you like mannequins too, check this site. That's all. Have a good week everyone, ours is a 5 day one AGAIN! But fortunately next Monday is another holiday (Pentecôte)!

  1. The mannequins look anxious to get where they're going, while the feet and ankles in the reflection seem happy to linger.

  2. A very cool shot, Eric, as always. I've been missing for a couple of days and am glad to be back. Hope you're enjoying your vacances.

  3. That's cool to have thought of taking this photo! I often wish I could be directed by a person I'd totally rely on.
Reflections add a pretty mysterious touch to the whole.

Tomorrow is another day off for me! I'm lucky!!!!!

  4. The reflections on top look just like my recent MRI.

The female mannequins look like nothing my body and I have seen for decades.

  5. GF for Scooter!

The mannequins look like they're queuing up to spy on something through the crack in the construction. What could it be?

As you like them so much, Eric, do you have one in your home? A friend of mine used to have. It was a little freaky though...

  6. Isn't it surprising what we notice when we're keeping an eye for a great photo? Love this truck full of mannequins!

  7. No, please keep posting photos of the windows. LOVE seeing what the designers are coming up with. You take such beautiful photos.

  8. Eric, I guess it wouldn't be cool to tell a mannequin "to break a leg...or an arm...or a..." Well, you get the idea. Probably, not good luck for anyone concerned. Wouldn't want it to detract from the clothing on display, right? Afterall, for these "people wannabees," life is just one enormous window dressing...one big fashion show after another, isn't it? Hrummph! Now what kind of life is that, I ask...even for us mortals?

On second thought, I'd kill for some mannequin abs I saw at Aber-Fitch the other day. ;-) Actually made me feel guilty. Gotta get back to doing those morning crunches. Dang dern mannequins, they never get out of shape! Make it tough for us humans.

Next thing you know, we'll be voting a mannequin into the White House and...ooh, okay I'll cool my jets.

Hey, Jeff...a belated Birthday wish to you good man. May it have been a cool-trane one for a cool-trane dude. Cheers!

  9. I like the perspective here. Without the angle and the lower shooting point, this would be a boring photo, but as it is, I like it a lot.

  10. So I'm guessing this wasn't an arm-oured vehicle, Eric? No 'arm could come to them, after all. But at least none of these ones lost their heads over being herded into a truck. I'll bet the driver told them, "There, there, everything's OK. You'll be all white. It's 'armless in there, for some of you at least."

  11. So why do the guys have to wear body condoms?

  12. Funny!
What can they talk about while waiting together?
Things are easier when the first step toward the final destination is done. You know the apprehension while waiting is often the worst, just like the one you can feel before exams or in front of a white page. Or before a dentist appointment (LOL, I am Omw to it... ). Or as long as your lover do not take your hand while walking with him!! :) like if you had to prevent yourself from breathing! Another picture : like if you wonder whether to jump into the swimming pool or not ! Will the water still be there?! Will you remember how to swim or not?:).
Well the minute before and the minute after.
After, that sounds like a liberation. Normally!

  16. he he Tall Gary, that's a good point why ARE the women protected from the men (note my emphasis)?

  17. Hmm the third in line even sees fit to protect herself further with her hand.... the mind boggles.

  18. Alexa and Bettina, you've made my day. I had no idea I'd be missed. But I do miss certain commenters here when they don't show for a day or two. It's a special crowd here on PDP. Makes me wish I were a billionaire so I could have flown us all to Paris for the picnic. Or trucked us all there like mannequins.:)

  19. he he Petrea wouldn't that be great. Of COURSE you're missed!

  20. You´re as obsessed by window mannequins as much as we´re obsessed by Paris. We understand.

This Pentecôte holiday I´ll be spending in PARIS. Yes!
I´ll enjoy at least one of the 200 holidays you guys have per year!!!!!!!

  21. Lynn, just about a couple of days ago I told Rose that: WE MISS HER!

  22. @Petrea "Makes me wish I were a billionaire so I could have flown us all to Paris for the picnic. " Funny, I wish I would win the Euromillion to invite everyone!!

He he... Monica is counting the days!

  23. You guys are all so nice. Wishing you the best Pentecost, Monica!! I have the sneaking suspicion you'll be loving it!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yep Eric I am. One week to go now!!!!!!!!!!!

    Carrie thanks!!!!

Oh and From Cali is there now... I wonder how much she´s loving Paris...!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Petrea -- you know we ALL care.

TG -- do you really have to ask? And, btw, does everyone remember when TG disappeared for a long time and we were all worried about him?

Monica -- green with envy. But can't wait to hear about your Parisian adventures!

    from cali -- alors??

    ReplyDelete
  26. They are all in perfect shape also. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh, is Cali in Paris now? AAAAAARGHHH! And Monica will be there in a week! WAAAH!

No, I'm not jealous. I'm happy for you both.

Oh Lynn, I'm just never on Facebook, am I? I should probably close the account because I don't use it much. Two friends of mine have gotten viruses through applications and once I heard of that I've hardly gone back.

  28. LOL Petrea

Yeah Alexa I'm anxious to hear some news from From Cali!

  29. This photo make me think of all the fashion they will soon tout! Jealous of a mannequin?
