According to the data, this winter has been colder than the average (have a look at this excellent site to have a better picture) and people - including me! - are really longing for some warmer weather (mind you at this very moment, I'm not, but that is just because I'm on vacation in the Southern hemisphere!). Usually towards the end of February we have nice rays of sun, and birds start feeling spring coming up... These don't because they're fake! I photographed them on the Quai (the river banks) where they have a flower and animal market).

Climate change?

Good one, Eric! You almost had me fooled for a moment there. We could certainly use some spring weather here in NYC—we're still digging out from the last big snow.
ReplyDeleteBut they look so real!
ReplyDeleteAh, birds as harbingers of Spring. Yeah, they won't be around here for several more weeks either! But Spring must be coming soon. I'm am so not a fan of this arctic stuff.
ReplyDeleteWell, where you are, I'm hoping the mosquitoes aren't quite the size of these birds (or that they are fake :-) ). Lovely light in this shot, too!

Very nice birds and I thought they were real when I saw them in the thumbnail shot at my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are where it's warm; enjoy your getaway.
Early spring in this part of Oregon. The neighbor kid mowed our lawn for the first time this season today and I asked him to be sure not to run over the blooming daffodils and budding crocus...
Ou comment suggérer un autre tourisme !

Eric, I know this article was prepared a few days ago, but its title is perfect for today: Last night and today, a huge storm crossed France, with winds up to 140 kph. I can tell you I didn't sleep a lot last night, listening my roof cracking, and the trees and branches falling down in the forest close to my house...
ReplyDeleteFunny Parisian fake birds photo.
ReplyDeleteI bet they are not so beautiful "for real" as they are fake anyway but in this frame and with this light, it works!
Have a nice end of vacation Eric and a safe flight back, because I guess it is more or less time to come back to France now, isn't it? Or maybe not totally yet, so enjoy each minute before coming back!
