Hurry, hurry! There are only 10 more days before you can enjoy a nice ice skating in front of the Hotel de Ville. The ice rink will close on March 6 and, as usual it's been a big success. I love the way this lady keeps her handbag no matter what... Like, she did not know she was going to ice skate on that day - Well, maybe she got dragged into it, like
some people recently!
She's a brave woman—or a good skater. I'd be treating the crowd to a view of my undies every 5 minutes for sure! Great capture, Eric.
ReplyDeleteShe's my kind of woman. You never know when you will hear the words "Attention Printemps Shoppers" and she'll have to run off the ice!
ReplyDeleteEric, congratulations on your blog! I found it a few days ago and now I hope each day your new review. I find it very interesting what you write (and your photos too) and we discover a part of Paris could hardly know that we do not live there.
ReplyDeleteThey took our ice rinks weeks ago already. Booohoo.
ReplyDeleteThis picture makes me feel like the holiday season is still upon us. Every year, I say I'm going to go skating again and I don't.
That's cute!
ReplyDeleteShe probably did not know she was going to ice skate on that day AND she certainly did not know that she would find herself in the PDP frame, today, caught in the act for the posterity ;)
that's a first for me.....have never seen ice skating w/purse before.....
ReplyDeleteStylish skating...hmmm a new sport. @ PHX-CDG if only that were possible! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh la la such a Parisienne :)
ReplyDeleteReally!! How funny!! Just like the Queen of England...don't let go of the purse!! Maybe she has her winning Lotto ticket in there??

Hello everyone, another quick coucou from Africa. I just arrived in Zanzibar and it's amazing (and, believe me, no possible ice rink here!)
ReplyDeleteShe has "her life" in this handbag!?:-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday.... Lucky man!
ReplyDeleteCoucou Eric!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because I was about to ask you how you're feeling while looking at this ice rink photo, relaxing, sipping fresh fruit juice, in front of a superb sea landscape?!! And of course, I almost forgot, wearing minimum of clothes because of a hot weather ;) Ok, I am sure, you've also planned some interesting visits!
Today an umbrella is still very useful in Paris. But it is not cold. And it's grey, but that's even not a news! What is comforting me is that I'm not alone with this!
Bonne suite à Zanzibar. Avec un nom pareil, j'imagine une île pleine de rebondissements et haute en couleurs. Prends en plein les yeux, les oreilles, les narines, la langue (huh?!) et les mains ;)
Now that is elegant! Maybe it helps her balance while cornering...
ReplyDeleteSweet. Thank you for spotting her and making us smile, Eric.
ReplyDeleteThe French woman are always so stylish even when in leisure.
ReplyDeletetres bon
Bonjour Eric, I wish I could have used your photo when I was blogging about the ice skating here recently. Bag or no bag, she looks prepared to me. Let's hope I get the same experience on ice next time I'm there! Lovely photo once again! Therese
ReplyDeleteZANZIBAR? It was 0 degrees F (-17 C) this morning as my coffee was brewing. Ice is warm compared to that!!
ReplyDeleteShe's probably thinking "I wonder if they do these boots in a black patent leather to match my handbag?"
ReplyDeleteLove your great sense of perspicacity, Drummond, really ;)
ReplyDeleteShould any of us really be shccked a Parisian doesn't want to ruin her outfit by leaving part of it in a locker? Hahaha....
ReplyDeleteSean
Well done, once more, Eric. Good picture!
ReplyDeleteWell done, once more, Eric. Good picture!
ReplyDeleteEric, You are in Africa? Oh my, how wonderful. Photos to follow?
ReplyDeleteNow this woman.......Queen Elizabeth would be proud. V
Oh, I love this I love this I love this. This is a woman after my own heart.
ReplyDeleteOh Eric, so glad I checked in. I just arrived in Paris and have always wanted to try this out. Thanks for the heads up and the great picture. Tomorrow after a good long nap!
ReplyDeleteYou can come and skate at our rink! It's outdoors and will be here for at least another month. This lady made me laugh, carrying her lovely bag while skating. I wonder, is it part of the ensemble and she didn't wish to spoil the look, or did she just have no where to leave it?
ReplyDeletepity, I only after March 17
