Christmas Shopping (Part deux!)
I had a long and tiresome day. Since I did not find anything 2 days ago at rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, I spent part of my day in the Galerie Lafayette area. Needless to say that the place was totally packed ;-) It serves me right, I should have hunted for gifts much sooner than that. Those who follow this blog for some time may have a Deja vu feeling though, as every year I post more or less the same lines ;-) Tonight (Friday) is Christmas Eve and if everything goes well (that is if my plane is not cancelled because of the snow!) I'll be in the South. But I'll have my computer with me, checking on you guys ;-)

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Eric and everyone!!! Safe travels to those on the move.
ReplyDeleteDéja vu also for the famous Tenin perspective! Hope your plane gets off the ground (and comes back down safely)—and that you have a lovely time in the South.
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noel a toi, mon ami, et a tous les PDPers!
Dear Eric, if you have trouble with your flight south, at least there is a backup this weekend--call Santa and Rudolph!
ReplyDeleteHope you got your shopping done. Have a great holiday!
I hope it is warmer than in the north!
ReplyDeleteJoeux Noel to you and the PDPers.
Lovely Tenin perspective here! Awesome! I've already done all my Christmas shopping, but we're leaving the 26th for a few days and I've got to pick up some wardrobe supplements, so I too will be shopping on Christmas eve.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, Eric. Don't worry--you aren't the only one who waits until the last minute. :)
ReplyDeletep.s. we're very close to launching the new EC site finally. whew!
Merci for the lovely pictures, Eric. You give me a gift every day! Joyeux Noel et bonne annee, to you and to all mes amis at PDP!
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noel to all of you out there.
ReplyDeleteIt's a time to remember and to look forward. I am remembering all the great people I've met because of Eric's PDP. I haven't kept in touch with all of you, but I remember you. I look at my photos often. Keep communicating. If you don't know by now, here is a truth: if you stop making the effort, you lose touch with people. Even when you try, you lose touch with some people. That's life, but you need to try. Thanks for the connections, Eric, and for your friendship.
Peace.
And we will be checking on you dear Eric. I hope your holidays are peaceful and full of joy. I hope I'll get to see you in janvier if it all works as planned!
ReplyDeleteBises,
V
Have a Very Merry Christmas, Eric!
ReplyDeleteBy the by, I do my gift shopping in November, before everything is sold out. The cookies are baked, so now I just have to stock my fridge with fresh food and begin the HOLIDAYS!
Joyeux Noel to you Eric and PDPers. Don't forget to hunt down a foie gras hamburger at Quick to celebrate. Hopefully you'll have sun and clear skies on the Riviera. How chic...
ReplyDeleteBy the way Jeff, I completely agree with you. I still enjoy hearing from people with real letters and cards even if it's just once a year. eMail has made things easier, but also less personal. Thanks to those who still take the time.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Eric! I hope you didn't have any trouble with your flight and are enjoying a nice trip.
ReplyDeleteI too want to thank you Eric for this wonderful PDP community and of course all the beautiful photos day after day.
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noël !
Bisous !
Awwwww! I'm about to leave in 30 minutes and I had a quick look at your comments. It's cold outside, but I feel warm reading your nice words ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour Tenin Perspective suits this scene beautifully. Joyeux Noel, dear Eric and PDPers! Wishing you safe travels, and here's to a peaceful and bright Christmas and New Year.
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noel, Eric. You make my day!
ReplyDeleteMerry Xmas Eric, I hope you have a great night and I wish you the best for 2011.

Perfect photo for the occasion as always :)
ReplyDeleteChristmas eve 11pm here. Daughter is in bed with milk, cookies for Santa and carrot for the raindeer on a plate outside. Our resident possum will have a feast tonight lol.
Have a safe trip Eric. We are off up North to visit family tomorrow but I will try to borrow my Dad's computer to keep track of my daily dose of Paris.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Merci for the years of wonderful pictures, Eric. You have kept my hopes of visiting Paris alive and well. Joyeux Noel and Bon Voyage as you go. Hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Safe travels and Merry Christmas. Thank you for your daily gift of a slice of Parisian life!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo!! So much life and energy to it. I wanted to thank you for adding something very special and unique to my life... I check PDP everyday that I'm home. Love, love it. Thank you for a wonderful gift. Safe travels and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteawwww don't stress yourself out! There's no law saying we must give gifts this one day a year. :-) You could always just do something special or cook a meal for friends and family. You can show them you love them in less stressful ways. :-D
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's the power of suggestion, but there is a sense of urgency in this photo! Those boots and shoes are made for doing some serious Christmas shopping. And Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without last minute shopping. It's a holiday tradition. Of sorts! Merry Christmas to you and your readers, Eric.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Eric .. may you have a wonderful day with friends and family and all your wishes come true..
ReplyDeleteBonne Fêtes !
ReplyDeletenice post. thanks.
