The rain returns...

I knew the nice weather would not last... The rain has returned to Paris. To "celebrate" I took this photo right outside my door ;-)  FYI, it rains on average about 650 mm (25.5 inches) per year in Paris, as I already mentioned some time ago. And since we're at it, there are also 13 993 traffic lights in Paris ;-).

  1. That's really different -- I don't think I ever saw a photo shot like that before.

It's raining in San Francisco too.

  2. Love it.
Am actually looking forward to the forecasted rain in Chicago this week after all the snow.

  3. Two things I now know that I wouldn't have known if I didn't come here every day! Sorry it's raining on you.

  4. When the rain comes,
They run and hide their heads.
They might as well be dead.
    When the rain comes.
    When the rain comes.

    When the sun shines,
    They slip into the shade,
    And sip their lemonade.
    When the sun shines.
    When the sun shines.

    Rain, I don't mind.
    Shine, the weather's fine.

  5. Erico, you are taking this blog too seriously! Who the hell has the time to go around counting the traffic lights in Paris? When do you find time to sleep?

  8. Very nice shot! Although I must admit it took me a minute to figure out what the photo was. I wonder if it is because it is the day after Valentine's, but my first thought was that it was chocolate! with a cherry. :)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

  9. I hope the rains subside in March. I am taking students to visit Paris mid-March. I am crossing my fingers for sunshine!

(Much longer), No you need to help me baby
(Cos red light) Oh feel the red light
(Means Warning) Oh it's a danger warning
(Can't hold out) Oh I can't hold out

  12. When I'm feeling poetic I think of the rain like an old friend, something I can count on. The world is in order - it's raining again. Stay dry. From your rain drenched twin city Seattle.

  13. Ooooooooooooo, nice shot! Yeah, it's raining, here too. We were enjoying summer-like weather (t-shirt and all!) in SF and all of a sudden, bam, back to rains and winds. They said on the radio, the top of Mt. Diablo might be white by the end of the week. Oh, well, we definitely need it.

  15. I love puddle photos!

AND I thought that count sounded like less than we have here - sure enough, annual rainfall here in State College PA is nearly 40 inches. I'll take Paris!

For other statistics fans, check out this link...Paris has LESS annual rainfall than Nice!
