OK, it was not exactly dawn, but 9 o'clock... But at this time of year (we're about to change time this weekend) it's almost like dawn! The light was really beautiful and since it was Sunday morning Les Champs Elysées were almost empty.
Beautifully captured—add my kudos to the rest! And welcome to the season of more dark than light (hey—there has to be a downside to light until almost midnight in July and August, n'est-ce pas?).
Lovely shot...almost has a vintage feel and it creates an atmosphere that could easily be mistaken for the late fifties or early sixties in Paris. *Sigh*....
That is beautiful! (Although reading the comments does put in the mood for a cinnamon latte this morning, lol) What a glow. Can you imagine what a picture of a woman, no matter what age, would look like in this light? Soft, glowing light like this would be a grand thing.
Love love love this! The red glow of the tail lights! Magic!
ReplyDeleteAs always, awesome Paris!
Thanks, Eric!

Very pretty. Sort of a....cinnamon haze covering everything...
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteEric,

Belle photo. I agree, the Champs-Elysees look "almost" empty-- definitely a Sunday morning! ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteJeff. You make me laugh.
Would you call that a tequila sunrise?
ReplyDeleteThat sky looks a bit like the bowl of a margarita glass. Drinking in that heady view has me more than a little tipsy.
“Maraschino cherries too small, hic. Bigger. Bigger!”
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOL Jeff!

ReplyDeleteWith photos like this my dream of moving to Paris lives on....thank you Eric.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of an Atget photo.
ReplyDeleteAtget did not shoot in color and of course, there weren't so many cars back then ;)
ReplyDeleteStill, it is kind of a timeless shot because you can't really see the make of the cars, just the overall shape.
Well done!
it looks very nice and fresh felling even at nine o clock.
