I very rarely take photos of animals, but this time I could not resist! This dog was so cute, waiting for its owner juts outside Muji, a Japonese stationary and home furniture store at rue des Francs Bourgeois. The coolest detail is, of course, its T-shirt that says "I love art" and that is probably very useful in these times of fierce cold... Paris facts: there are between 160 000 and 200 000 dogs is Paris, which is not bad for a 2.2 million inhabitant city...

How adorable! I use to have doggie snow shoes for my dog because of the sub-zero temperatures and snow. I had to chase her around my dining room table...she hated those shoes!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Cute pup. And so debonniare. He looks nice and warm. I'm surprised there are "only" 200,000 dogs in Paris.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome fellow, Eric! I love his hoodie. He's gorgeous, and extra points for catching him with his tongue poking out.
ReplyDeletePoor little guy - I hope he didn't have to wait out in the cold too long. He doesn't look very happy.
ReplyDeleteLOL awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat is one dressed-up dog! I see he stuck his tongue out at you! :)
ReplyDelete*sigh* I know dogs with short coats must get cold, but I also think that clothes on them look slightly ridiculous. But I have to admit, this one looks like the owner put their own hoodie on the dog. Funny!
ReplyDeleteI have to comment that this fine looking dog is an American Pit Bull Terrier, a terrific dog falsely labeled as vicious because of some criminally irresponsible dog owners. This art lover contradicts that rumor and looks to be a lover not a fighter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie, lol :-D
ReplyDeleteOH,what a expresive face..his eyes are very focused on...
ReplyDeletewarm food...or Art de Paris????
Or he may see some handsome..female dog..( i guess he is male.looks like it) as his tounge hang out for something...
great photo Eric...........Kara
This is a very handsome pit bull - you can tell how powerful he is under that shirt with his squared, muscular shoulders. But his tongue belies what he a sweetie he is! The colors in this image are great.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ Rien

GW Miller is right: a dog is what it's raised to me. I've known several very sweet pit bulls. This one just looks a bit cautious about a stranger lowering to its level to take a photo. Or maybe it's waiting for the last bit of the cafe gourmand.
I think he's saying, "Finally, somebody getting down to my level to take a photo...must be Monsieur Tenin!"
ReplyDeleteHe's a well dressed doggy! Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie. He looks a lot like my dog, a boxer/pit bull mix. It's a great mix, or at least it worked out well in Boz. Sweetest dog ever. But he won't tolerate dressing up, no matter how fashionable.
