After an amazing period of mildness, winter has finally decided to come! Europe is currently experiencing a massive cold wave which includes France, of course. We had -6° (21.2° F) this morning and forecasts show that it's going to be worse towards the end of the week (-11° C - 12.2° F)! (See more here). Wearing these warm "space" boots was definitely a good idea! FYI, there should not be any snow in Paris though... Too bad ;-(

Wow! Colder in Paris than here right now!! Hope you stay warm! (But we still have snow on the ground...) :)
ReplyDeleteSnuggle up!!
ReplyDeleteOMG Eric - 21 degrees and 12 degrees F is fuh-reezing! Do bundle up and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOprah Winfrey had a strikingly similar pair of gold sequined Ugg boots like these on her Christmas list of favorite things a couple years back. I toyed with the idea of ordering a pair, but they were too much for me :)
WOW! 21 degrees and even colder at 12 degrees in Paris...sounds like weather we use to have near Chicago with SNOW 6 months out of the year!
ReplyDeleteThis winter weather season is really strange. Today in Connecticut it was sunny and in the 60s. Paris is having snuggle up weather, where are those furry animals from yesterday's PDP? lol
ReplyDeleteWarmest January on record in Ireland. At last something good out of this country
ReplyDeleteMr. PHX, had to buy a pair of gloves, finally, to cope with the weather in Paris. He even stayed in our apt all day today,a rarity, and per instructions from me, went out only to buy me a Figaro(Figaroscope comes in the Wednesday edition and it is full of things to do for the week). This is a great tip for future travelers to Paris.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love CDG, I told him I would rather work to Paris in Feb. than to live there. Dark at 4pm, cold, rainy and dreary, but these boots certainly can brighten things up!
@ PHX-CDG : Heaven's sake ! we're not at the north pole ;) It's getting dark at 6:15 p.m. actually ...
ReplyDeleteAh, like the Tenin Perspective on this one.
ReplyDeleteYawn.
ReplyDeleteSo, any news?
Oh, Eric I love this pic.
ReplyDeleteLol Jeff...if I understood your sarcasm from "nearly" the North Pole. I can tell you, it is freeeeeezing here for this Miami man!
ReplyDeleteGreat boots !!!
ReplyDeleteLOL PHX, I know how you feel and I was even born in the cold north. I never get used to the cold, dark winters.
This morning it was freezing -15*C and the weatherman said we would get all the cold and snow from Sibiria, brrr...
LOL we having 26 C here in Melbourne Australia...
ReplyDeletebut lots off rain in the north so, @ the moment
..
love your pictures.. Eric ...but missing a little more atmosphare of Paris Lately.....
Merci.....
Kara
Sorry if I sounded snarly, mes amis. Listen: -11 C is cold for anyone. I hate that kind of cold. Right now (Thurs morning) it's just about 0 C, so not too bad.
ReplyDeleteI do think the photo is fun.
From Siberia, Bettina? Ah! Where I live when we get a cold front, it comes from San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteRecord highs in Los Angeles today and for le weekend. Not trying to rub it in-- just fackin". Lol..
ReplyDeleteI already knew what Jeff would say LOL! But yes, like you say, -11°C is cold for everyone.
ReplyDeleteAs for the people in Australia who tease us... (ehem Kara LOL!)
And to think it's going to last for more than a week!
And what's on YOUR feet, Eric? Hope you can stay warm. (Or come here to NYC, where it was 60°F (15.5°C) yesterday!)
ReplyDelete@Alexa I don't go out, it's as simple as that! 60°F in NYC ?! What?!
ReplyDeleteSo I am from Minnesota...coming to Paris in two weeks. Thought for sure my leather coat would suffice....now am thinking about something warmer. BTW...was put on to this site by Jeff from Minnie...I am enjoying it every day. I did not know how to sign up...so did it under anonymous...what's the best way to sign up.
ReplyDeleteWant to feel warm?
ReplyDeleteHow about visiting my little South American birth country?
A few days ago it was 47C in the shade...
That´s why people here don´t like warm weather, myself included...
