More boules !

Summertime oblige, Parisians slow down a bit, even if they are not yet on vacation. They even leave the office a little earlier (here, during winter, it's pretty usual to stay in the office until 7 or 8 pm) to have drink at a terrasse or... to play boules, like this bunch of colleagues that I photographed at Place Dauphine (yes again!). A very delightful period in the year I must say; you should come ;-)

  1. 2 am and no comments yet? I guess they are finding it hard to get away from the opening ceremony!

  2. LOL.

There were no boules players when we were here.

Eric, you are breaking my heart with these photos of Place Dauphine.

We also discovered Rue Dauphine on this trip - great street with lots of galleries.

  3. Or maybe they were busy playing other kinds of boules...

  4. Lovely shot
The first boule is placed and the other ones follow. Lots of virtual games still work on the same way nowadays!
Playing with a really good player is an awesome experience. I've always been fascinated by clever minds even in a game like "boules".

  5. It is a popular pastime in Sweden as well.

  7. Somehow boules isn't the same if there isn't some Pastis close by. It makes the game much more interesting I find.

  8. Oh la la—la perspective. Makes me feel as though I'm right there. I wish! (And I agree wholeheartedly with Michael. This game just begs for pastis.)

  9. Looking out on my grey windy morning and waiting for tradesmen how I would love to be playing boules in Place Dauphine!
