It was supposed to be hot and sunny yesterday and it turned out to be... not so sunny! Worse, I'm that close to turning the heating on! As much as I love the principal of seasons (especially the ones we have in Europe) and spring in particular (when everything comes back to life), I really hate fall/autumn, when it starts raining a lot, when the temperature drops and when it starts getting dark before you stop working! I took this shot on the Champs Elysées, BTW.
I know exactly what you are talking about and how you are feeling!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Sunny today. But yesterday, it poured, uncharacteristically, in the Berkeley-Oakland, California, area. Usually, it doesn't start raining here at least until the end of October. The difference between us is that many of us are hoping it continues to rain a lot more. Otherwise, we'll be in for the eighth year of Northern California drought. (And now I get to see if my pic shows up.)
ReplyDeleteFeeling your pain Eric - yesterday was the same way in Vancouver - welcome fall/winter... At least the runners are cheerful :)
ReplyDeleteTerrible weather, terrific photo! We've been lucky here lately, with perfect sunny fall days—and any rain coming between midnight and 6 a.m. Can't last though. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAutumn has arrived here in New Hampshire, too. At least we have sun, but it was a cold and windy. And snow fell on Mount Washington. Yes, the rain in your picture is dismal, but as Amanda said, those sneakers cheer things up. The silver lining in the dark cloud.
