When I see the poor guys trying to illegally sell Eiffel Towers near all the tourist areas I always think to myself, "Who on earth would buy an ET from them? - besides Suzy of course!! (<--private PDP joke)" And though, it works. I had to wait several minutes before I could take this photo without anyone blocking the view! Kids love them too and a lot of parents give in and pay a Euro or two to put a smile on their children's face ;-). As you probably guessed, I took this photo in the Tuileries gardens, near the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.

Eiffel Tower Anyone?

Yes, please! I want the colorful ones!
ReplyDeleteI have one!
Delete1 bought one for my son. It split in two (by the first floor) 3 weeks later.
ReplyDeleteWell... They're made in China aren't they?!
DeleteI have one of these. It's metal, very nice. But tiny. I don't remember the circumstances under which I bought it but I'm keeping it.
ReplyDeleteIs it key chain? Because often small ones are key chains. I think mine is...
DeleteNo, just a little ET about 3 inches high. It's on my shelf next to a photo of me and John atop Notre Dame.
DeleteI've never bought one from these guys, but I did get one for Christmas. It's 3 feet tall, with sparkly glitter and lights! ET! ET!! ET!!! (as Suzy would say)
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOL
Deletenice & smart photo.
ReplyDeleteMerci ;-)
DeleteI bought about 20 of those, in key chain mode, to bring home to family and friends as a little trinket from my wonderful Paris journey. My only sadness - I didn't have one for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteMy parents brought one back when they went to Paris... I don't know if it was a knockoff or not. I have no idea what became of it.
