Last evening, the iron lady went back to the 70's and danced to some Gloria Gaynor and Dona Summer tunes! The thing is that last night's theme Bastille day fireworks was... Disco. So not only was all the music from the 70's, but they even put a huge mirror ball on the 2nd floor! The show was magnificent, it did not rain, the Champ de Mars was totally covered in people and... I took 2 gigabytes of photos LOL! Which you will only see tomorrow as, right now, I'm off to bed!

The Iron Lady is dressed to be the Dancing Queen with the fireworks exploding around her and the mirror ball for bling. I'm looking forward to the 2 gigs of photos. Sweet dreams, Eric.

Eric, I love your photo! I took mine from much further away.
So, what you're saying is, they turned it into the "Camp" de Mars. :-)

ReplyDeleteLovely shot, Eric. Will look forward to seeing your others, too. I have two friends visiting Paris right now, but neither mentioned the Disco theme.
ReplyDeleteWe were thinking of you last night as we dined at Bastille, a local neighborhood restaurant bastilleseattle.com/ (knew it would be too crowded today).
