Sacré Coeur from Les Grands Boulevards

Not far from where I live, on the Grands Boulevards, there is a Häagen-Dazs place... Last evening, even though it was cold and cloudy, I was craving for an ice cream! So I went. And on the way back, in the rue Drouot, I saw this (I did not do anything with the colors, I promise!). Fortunately I never go out without my camera... For those of you who have never been to Paris, the Church in the background is Le Sacré Coeur, a church you can can see from many places in Paris for it's located on Montmartre, a little hill in the North of Paris. BTW I did not have the time to make a selection yet, but if you care to see the whole Bastille Day fireforks in one collection of images, click here. And here, for the 30 minute video version!

  6. Lovely photo Eric, but the video of the entire fireworks display is awesome! To think I didn't have to go out in the cold (in the middle of July I might remind everybody) and can still enjoy it is fantastic! Merci!

  10. @Marylène merci !

    @Alexa no, no Amanda! But she was on television last Saturday (because she's in a play at the moment, for the first time in her life - not that she is not used to acting in normal life LOL!

    PS : for those of you who don't know who "Amanda" is, here is a link to her profile (she has 3 dates of birth, that will tell you a lot about the lady LOL).

    Alexa and Amanda (not sure that's what she was called at that time ;-))used to be apartment mates when Amela used to live in Paris...
    (I did not disclose any secret Alexa, did I?!).

  11. No, you didn't disclose any secrets, Eric—and even though I know which of the "facts" in that Wikipedia profile are right and which are wrong, I'm not saying!

  12. What a fascinating life, even if only half of it is true. It takes an unusual person to live that way. It's exhausting. Seriously. I had to quit being fascinating by the time I was in my late thirties.

  13. Too bad you're not saying Alexa LOL!

    One thing I can assure you is that she's a very clever person and an expert at using the media. When in a show, she's always very witty and funny.

    I must say I admire her even though at first you could easily think she's a bit shallow.

  14. @Christie "Enjoy your blessing of living in Paris, Eric!" I do ;-)

  15. Eric -- not shallow at all (a mon avis).
    Petrea -- Well, you're still funny—and I'm guessing fascinating too, whatever you may say. :~}
